Level II Trauma Center MICU good for CRNA programs?

Hi there!

I've spent 2.25 years on a Med/Surg Liver specialty unit and now I -just- started in a MICU of a Level 2 trauma center. Will Level 2 be acceptable for a CRNA school? I contacted Thomas Jefferson University's program and the woman said she "believed" it would be ok.

What are your thoughts on being accepted into a program with this (as opposed to Level I) experience? I will continue to contact schools specifically, but I'm interested in your thoughts.

TIA!

John

Yea, you will be just fine. Congrats on future acceptance. Level 2 is more than adequate.

Absolutely. Congrats on the new job. Be a sponge and learn as much as you can. Good luck :)

Thank you guys for the encouragement and info! Being on this new unit feels -just- like the best part of nursing school: learning and applying new things! I'm in love with it.

Level II will be perfectly fine. I'm at a Level III and about to start in MSICU at the beginning of next month. I know that the experience that I will get there will be good enough for CRNA school.
