Letter to CNO

I wrote the CRNE twice and I failed. Then I wrote the NCLEX in the USA and failed. I rewrote it an I passed. CNO counts that as 4 times and they are requesting that I write a letter for them to throw out one of my results.

Can anyone give me some ideas or samples of how to write the letter?

    Did they accept the nclex you passed in the states? Did you ask them if you can work here with that? Try to find out from them first before you tell them to throw away the only chance you have not written. You can writer thee letter the normal way explaing to them that you have passed the nclex in the US and don't need to use your remaining chance. It doesn't need much grammar. Please my advice is for you to be sure they will accept it depending on the circumstances. Did you get any letter from them before going to the US to write? Please be careful before you write the letter. Can you please let mevknow which state you wrote in the US and the requirements. Am thinking of moving there. I still have chances to write the nclex after the refresher course am about to do. Thanks.

    Yes, they will accept the NCLEX result in Canada. No I didn't get any letter from them. I wrote in New York.

    You can consider using Uworld to study for the exam. I think it's the exact formate of the NCLEX exam.

    Alright my fear is so you don't make the mistake ofot finding some facts from them before writing the letter. Then go ahead and tell them to forfeit the remaining chance since you are done with the nclex. Just few lines and send to them.     It's not as simple as posters are making it sound. While Canadian colleges of nursing will accept the NCLEX-US results, there is still a regulation that says you only have three opportunities to pass. Not three in Canada and three in the States... three in total. So although the OP has written the CRNE twice and the NCLEX twice, it counts as four tries in total. There's no way around that requirement, except in extremely extenuating circumstances. Situations like test anxiety, having a cold, having a sick child at home, having car trouble - those are not considered extenuating. The death of a family member the day before the exam would be. So consider carefully what you plan to tell CNO about why you should have one test result removed from your file; they will want proof. Those who are unable to demonstrate adequate knowledge of the basic competencies in order to pass the exam are not likely to be safe nurses, and that's what the colleges are about - ensuring nurses they register are safe.
