Hey
The nurses of Indiana really need to stick together, don't you think???
I know I could use some support. . . . . .
I am new to Indiana but the stress of being a nurse is anywhere!!!!!
I just would love to get together and talk more on this board!!!!!!
So anyone interested. . .lets chat!!!!
I have been a nurse 3 years, I have mainly worked in med/surg. . .but want to specialize in an area. . .just not sure what yet. . . . .
Ok hope to hear from someone soon. . . .
tell me where your located.
I am in Muncie. . . . . .
I moved to into Indiana almost 1 year ago. I'm downstate in Bloomington and am loving it so far. Lived in big cities in various parts of the US all my adult life and Bloomington is a nice fit. It's smaller, easy to get around in. And because it's a college town, they have alot to offer. Plus I find it scenic w/ rolling hills, LOTS of trees. I got tired of driving an hour or longer just to get out of the city and suburbs. Tired of bad traffic, and everything that comes with large sized cities.
I've been a nurse for many years. I've worked hospitals, clinics, doctor's offices etc.
I now have one of the best jobs, if not the best job I have ever held. I work from home, I telecommute. So I have a room in my home dedicated for my office. It seems like organization of said office is ongoing. I'm always on the lookout for things to help me stay organized, to help me do my job better. I'm almost done. Now I'm ready to paint it, but trying to decide on a color is tough. What colors are best?
Anyway, I've rambled long enough. Hello to all and I hope everyone finds a job they love as much as I love mine.
Hey all;
I'm in north central IN & getting ready to apply in Feb. to IU Kokomo for the BSN program. Hopefully (crossing my fingers!) I will be able to start clinicals this fall.
I am 39 & have a hubby, four kids, two dogs, two fish & a guinea pig.
I check this board frequently & am always interested in the conversations with people close to home.
Glad to hear from everyone.

Hi to you all. I am up here in northwest Indiana - don't want to give the exact town due to some other previous posts. I was an LPN for 19 years and recently completed the ASN RN thru Excelsior. I have worked LTC/assisted living my entire career. I would love to find something new, but am now in management w/ no weekends/holidays/flex. schedule, etc. Just can't give this up til my kids get a little older. Glad to meet you all.
Hello all! I'm glad to see that everyone is so friendly and willing to talk. I live in Elkhart, anyone near that area? I've been a medical nurse for almost a year now and like what I am doing, but my real passion would be to teach nursing. I really would like to start back to school this upcoming summer. Does anyone know of a good school to go? I currently have my ADN and would like to go for my BSN. I wouldn't mind internet or actual classes. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great. Thanks so much. Looking forward to talking with you all!
