I believe you have better luck of getting into a County hospital, that you do a Mercy/Promedica type, as an LPN

I have two different Jobs
The first is at a LTC Facility I make $17.68 plus $0.50 for night shift diff. I have been here for 5.5 years but havent had a raise in 3 years likely due to the economy. I work Three 12 hour shift Mon-Tues-Wed.
The second job I am starting in 2 weeks at another LTC facility I will be starting there at $17.50 base pay plus $1.25 evening shift diff on weekdays and additional $3.25 on weekends. For a total of $18.75 on weekdays and $22 on weekends

13.75 full-time (shift diffs for nights and weekends - unsure of amounts yet)
18.00 PRN
Not a done deal for me yet so the other details are sketchy....
(The reason this may happen for me is that I already work here. They, as with many hospitals anymore, will not hire LPNs "off the street".)
sorry

47000 salary no weekends day shift 7-4p m-f. took a pay cut for it though but if I have to come in and work about 32/hr for those hrs (time and a half) needles to say I don't work OT much. Was making 24hrly 3-11 ltc with every other weekend working short and stressed out no breaks

Wow, more than double what I make. Maybe I need to move to Canada. How does that compare to US wages and how's the cost of living there?

So far, most of the jobs offers I got pay around $21-27 here in NY.
