Can anyone tell me how long this program is? I cant get a defentitive answer from anywhere.

Is the program hard and do you get the proper education needed for a BSN?

I think that is very dependent on the school you are considering. Do you have a specific program in mind? Or did I miss that?

Sorry ISU/ Indiana State University....I plan on doing the lpn to bsn program.

Can anyone tell me how long this program is? I cant get a defentitive answer from anywhere.

The reason you can't get a precise answer is because there are many variables and everyone is different.

Do you have a previous bachelors--if so, you all you need are your prerequisites an the general nursing classes for the nursing program and don't need any other gen ed classes for your BSN..

Do you have an associates degree. If you have an associates degree, have you fulfilled the requirements to transfer to ISU.

Do you have all the prerequisites done through a college, university that is accepted through ISU.

Then the question is: will the classes you need be available or will you need to wait a semester until the class you need becomes available.

Without consiering any bachelors gen ed classes or prerequisites for the nursing program, the LPN/LVN to BSN program at ISU consists of 6 clinicals and 8 didactic classes. Once submit your application and the fee to ISU, submit formal transcripts. They will evaluate it and tell you what you need to take to matriculate and graduate. This is called a DARS. It spells out the specifics. You can then see how long it would take you.

What many potential student think is this is a Bridge Program. It is not. ISU will give you credit for certain classes but will add in some of those same challenge courses back into the cirriculum. Many LPN to ADN courses are about 2-3 semesters in length. Essentially, you woul be taking the last year of the ADN program to graduate. But, for the LPN to BSN program, you not only are taking the ADN courses but your BSN courses--so the program is much longer.

Submit your official transcripts and have them evaluated--it is worth the $25 to know what is going on.
