Hi, I'm currently a Lehman student applying for the fall 2021 session. I just made this thread to find anyone else who's applying for fall 2021. Feel free to share GPA's, HESI scores and even ask questions or give advice!

I was accepted for the generic nursing program for 2020 but I dropped out of the program ( personal crisis ? ). Fortunately, the nursing depart allowed me to rejoin the program this year.
I do not feel guilt but I m careful what I am writing here because last year Allnurses.com warned me several times via email about what I wrote on this web.
I have been saying "practice Quizlet.com" there is a reason. That is the key.
just keep practicing "reading, math, A&P, and critical thinking. If you do it you would have good scores.
Hi! im sorry I meant to say quizlet instead of "guilt" LOL but I'm so happy you are able to be in the program for this fall semester! I will be applying for the fall 2021 semester as well. I take my HESI in march. Thank you again to everyone here for your support! I have an appointment with Donna tomorrow because I wanted to ask her if HIN 268 will be factored into our "science GPA" and I have gotten yes and no from some people. I really hope not because unfortunately I took a class years ago that transferred into Lehman as HIN 268 and it was a C and it brings my science GPA down. ? im a little nervous about that, its my lowest grade on my prerequisites. Everything else is in good standing. Thank you to all of you again for your support and feedback!

LOL.
Hin 268 and Hin 269 is not going to include science GPA but HIn 268 and 269 must be above C grade. Otherwise, you will not for a candidate for the nursing program. last year many students who were applying for nursing had confusion about whether HIn 268 reflects the science GPA ( if you read last year's forum you will find a lot of resources if you have time.
Always make sure with the department if you have a question!
I recommend you to send an email to Nursing Chairman. She is a quick response and the one who knows what is going on for the nursing program.
I found nursing department give me a more accurate answer than the pre-nursing supervisor last year
CATHERINE.GEORGES @ Lehman.cuny.edu.
If your science GPA is above 3.7, you would be Okay. look at the nursing department web. there is written the cut lines for the previous years
Also youGuys!I forgot last time when you research Quizlet, put HESI exam reading comprehension, HESI exam math, HESI exam A&P. Otherwise so many things pop out.
You're amazing thank you so much! I will email the nursing chairperson now and ask her some questions I have. Thank you for the HESI study resources. I've been going through all the quilts and will continue to do.
Good Luck with everything and I will keep you updated. Fingers crossed for my acceptance for the fall 2021 semester ? I look forward to meeting all of you and I wish everyone the best this semester !
Again thank you to @kil park for being so helpful! I wish you all the success!
6 minutes ago, Yesi said:Also one more question. Do we receive a confirmation email once we've successfully submitted our nursing application?
That I don't know.
last year I submitted my application in person Jan 18 , 2020 before the pandemic.
Please double and triple check when you write your Lehman email and personal email for the application. Otherwise, you may miss some info or behind the processes.
the only the first time, they send your acceptance letter both via Lehman email and personal email. after that, they send every process to your Lehman email. If you feel delaying or behind, make it sure. They input your name wrong
In my case, One of the faculties inputs my Lehman email wrong. I could not get my clinical information and my acceptance for 3weeks while other students got 3 weeks before. even I correct my email with them, It happened again. So, it is your responsibility to keep track! I like this forum and this forum helped me a lot to know what is going on with your nursing process.
Good luck, I really wish all you guys get in the program.

Does anyone know many times can you take the HESI exam? Or who I would contact to find out?

I didn't receive a confirmation email. I was planning to email the nursing department about this issue, because its weird.

HI, Yesi
The reading comprehension section did not include Vocabulary & Grammar. There are just reading questions. Type reading comprehension in Quizlet. com. do a lot of questions from that web. It is about 50 questions. You may spend a lot of time on reading and Math ....I did :). so manage the time. Also, you have a choice to select to do first. I did a reading and then, math. It did not take a long time for critical thinking (20min )and A&P (25 min) for me. Those were simple and short questions. I spent a lot of time for the reading section because English is my second language. I hope it helps you a bit
