Hi, I'm currently a Lehman student applying for the fall 2021 session. I just made this thread to find anyone else who's applying for fall 2021. Feel free to share GPA's, HESI scores and even ask questions or give advice!

Sorry for the late reply. I just took mine yesterday (Feb 24th). Quizlets on the critical thinking was definitely helpful and the A&P had alot more questions on the Chemistry aspect of the body so like the hormones of the endocrine system or the chemicals that raise pH in the intestines and etc.
Hope you do well on it. Good luck!

Hey, so on the critical thinking section there were lots of questions where you had to determine which of the 4/5 given cases were of the top priority. There were also questions on what a nurse can or cannot do, in situations where a patient is agitated what would you do first or who would call- things of that sort. I didn't really spend much time studying for this section honestly but I did find a quizlet that had similar questions that gave me an inkling of what to expect.
The learning styles doesn't require studying at all. It's like a learning style quiz to figure out how you learn best.
Hope you do well on the HESI!

5. Learning Styles.
I’ve been using HESI A2 Evolve ED.5 and https://www.boostprep.com/shop/ along with Youtube and various practice material. I’m not sure what “Learning styles” entails at all. If you’d like to exchange numbers/email we can start a study support group.
The support group sounds great! My email is [email protected]

I had a question for anyone who previously took the HESI or will be taking as well. I know the 5 subjects on the exam are Reading comprehension, A&P, Math, Critical Thinking and Learning Styles but I was a little confused if Grammar and Vocabulary fell under the Reading Comprehension section. Are we going to be tested on those sections? I believe these are sub-sections in the Reading Comprehension section but can someone confirm that for me? THANK YOU SO MUCH
Heyy
Grammar didn't come up in any of the reading comp questions but they would ask what a word means in the context of a paragraph. But most of the questions on this section is about the passage itself or what kind of passage it is (essay, speech, narrative fiction, etc). I would just recommend to look up reading comprehension quizlets that may or may not show up on the actual exam ?
You got this!
Hey guys! Just wanted to update my stats. I took the HESI yesterday (2/24). I took it in the order of math, AP, reading comp, CT then learning styles.
I wanted to get math (easy for me) and AP (the one that I was so anxious for) out of the way. Turns out AP wasn't that bad. I used Mometrix to prepare-I actually paid for it but cancelled the subscription after one month. It had like 7 practice tests and quizzes for each topic in every section which helped. A free alternative that also really helped was cliff notes https://www.cliffsnotes.com/study-guides/anatomy-and-physiology I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this website.
Critical Thinking had me doubting myself alot as I took it. Granted, I didn't spend much time looking at quizlets for it- don't be like me and study those quizlets for CT LOL. https://quizlet.com/112350274/HESI-A2-critical-thinking-questions-flash-cards/
Quizlet overall is a good enough way to study for the HESI. There are things that may or may not pop up on the actual exam. I hope you all do well on the exam!
HESI overall: 96%
Reading Comprehension: 96%
Math: 96%
Anatomy and Physiology: 96%
CT: 830

I just took my HESI and here are my stats:
Prerequisite GPA: 4.0
HESI Cumulative: 95.33%
CT: 820
Reading Comp: 88%
A&P: 100%
Math: 98%
I was overall confident until I saw my CT and reading comprehension scores. I wonder how this may affect my chances. I hope I’m not overthinking.
Hey I was wondering if you can tell me what materials you used to study for A&P and CT if you don't mind. I can't find any CT material anywhere. If anyone else knows, please reach out!
question- So I was accepted to Lehman and need to fill out the application which I know is on 360- but I am unable to login/ I spoke to IT and they said although I am a student because I have not taken a class there yet I do not have access to 360. So how am I supposed to fill out the form? I emailed the department several times with no response. Any advice is much appreciated! Also, I'd love to hear more from folks who took the HESI already- mine is coming up~

Hi @smith6j4 and @nigerian.nurse2b. When you submitted your application how did you submit your HESI score. I got a link with my overall from Elsevier but it didn't include my CT score. How did you guys upload your scores?
I emailed Donna and she said I have to upload the PDF but I spoke with someone else and she said I shouldn't worry about attaching the documents since they got sent the HESI anyway. I'm so confused.
If you signed up for the HESI using the Lehman code, they definitely have your scores, so don't worry too much!
If you go to your "Admission Assessment Report" on the HESI website and click the little plus sign (+) on the left, it will provide a drop down menu with scores for the individual sections.
Then you can click "View Results" for each individual section and then the .PDF link under "View Your Detailed Scoring Report."
I downloaded each one of those and compiled it into a single .PDF and uploaded it.

Hi,Tara
When did you accept by Lehman college? Did you declare your major? As far as I know, declaring Nursing is the first thing you have to do before submitting the application. Declaring major happens through 360.
Do you have a Lehman account?
this is on Google
"To access Lehman 360 from a desktop, go to Lehman.edu and find Lehman 360 under “Login” at the top of the page. To log in, use your Lehman account, which is the same first name. Lastname and password used for wireless access" If It does not work keep asking help desk.
If it did not take your ID and Password there is a reset at the bottom and showing the below try it

Hey, Donna told me that the results were sent directly to the school as well as the people at the Prometric testing site. On the online application, I uploaded a screenshot of the email confirmation of my test date which Donna said was fine.
