Lehman College Fall 2017 Admissions?

Published

Im going to be applying to Lehman's Generic BSN program for fall 2017 and I was wondering what my chances of getting accepted are. So far I have a 3.73 pre req gpa and in the process of taking microbiology and organic chemistry lab and lecture. I hope to get it to a 3.8 if I get A's for these 3 classes. As for my Hesi score, I got a 92 overall, 92 for Reading Comprehension, 94 for Math, 92 for A&P and 90 for Critical Thinking. If anyone who has previously been accepted could share their stats with me that would be great! :D Also, if you're applying for generic Fall 2017 as well you're welcome to share them too so we can see how competitive this year is! I've heard 3.5 is the cut off but I'm sure it depends on the year. Thanks everyone!

Does anyone know how to get the Drug testing done or what kind of drug test is needed?

It's a 15-panel drug test according to the packet. I'm checking with my NP tomorrow to see if she can order it.

Update to this: NP said the standard is 9- or 12-panel drug tests (they had no 15), so.. going to ask the department.

@Nurse092188 I'm taking HIN 269 next semester. Was it a difficult course? Not sure if I want to add it to the list of my fall semester classes or just take it in the winter.

Where are you getting your CPR certification from?

I wouldn't say it's difficult but it's time consuming. You have to do a community assessment paper which does require a bit of research and can get annoying at times. As for the CPR, I went to Eastern CPR on Gun Hill rd. @shibaz95

@Nurse092188 Thanks a bunch!

Yes, I just graduated from the program and I would say 80% had our laptop open in every class lol

I suggest you don't buy any books or buy books that are refundable because either a) the professor doesn't use the book or b) 90% of the books are on PDF and someone has it, you just have to ask around. It will take some warming up but as you get to know each other and they assign you mentors, resources will start flowing.

Does anyone know if a BLS provider card would be sufficient to provide to the department for the CPR certfication requirement?

How was your experience at 1 police plaza? Was it a long wait?

It wasn't bad at all, less than an hour. Depends on how many people are there that day. @RX2RN

Anyone know if we can use a Littmann Lightweight II S.E?
