Legal Nurse Consulting

Has anyone ever worked for a college and had a contract and then the college asks for you to either resign or finish your contract and then you are not eligible for re-hire. Does this make since to anyone. Why would a college say you are not eligible for rehire without given a reason. Can they do this? Any help would be so appreciative. Thanks

I'm going to start looking into this. I already wrok from home as a telephone triage nurse but have always been interested in legal nursing. I had a friend who decided to start doing it and I've lost contact with her.

I Am New Here And Thinking Of Taking The Vickie Milazzo Course For Lnc. I Have Been Reading Some Of The Posts And See That There Is A Split As To The Fors And Againsts. I Have Done Some Checking Into College Courses And I Am Still Pulling Towards The Milazzo Course. I Think The Fact That You Have Mentoring After The Seminar And Certification Means A Lot. I Didnt See Any Of The College Programs Willing To Follow Up With You When You Complete Them. Maybe I Am Off Base But To Me If I Have A Problem Its Nice To Know I Can Contact Someone That Will Help Me Out.

Any Insights Out There?

Great to have you here with us. Yes, the V. Milazzo course is great. I took this about 3 almost 4 years ago. It was most inclusive for the 6 days there. And, the unlimited mentoring is wonderful. I could not have done this all by myself. The LNC needs to market her/himself and the typical nurse does not possess the marketing skills necessary to do this. The Milazzo course really hones this point home. Much, much support. And, you get free templates for all the marketing packets. As well as many other free items for the practice of LNC.

So, I do hope you do the course. Just look around and get educated about the different methods of obtaining the LNC cert.

And, I have had zero resistance from attorneys with my CLNC.

I HAVE ALMOST DECIDED TO GO FOR THE COURSE IN MAY OF 2006. I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING AND CONVINCING MYSELF FOR 3 YEARS THAT I SHOULD DO THIS. I AM 51 YEARS OLD AND HAVENT BEEN A NURSE FOR LONG.............6 YEARS, BUT I KNOW I CANT KEEP UP THE PACE OF FULLTIME 12 HOUR MIDNIGHT SHIFTS FOREVER. I GUESS MY BIGGEST FEAR IS DO I HAVE ENOUGH EXPERIENCE AND A FEAR OF NOT BEING ABLE TO READ ALL THE DR'S NOTES. IT PROBABLY SOUNDS KIND OF SILLY, BUT THAT IS WHAT HELD ME BACK THIS LONG. THE MENTORING IS WHAT HAS HELPED ME DECIDE TO TRY THIS. SO I AM GOING FOR IT AND I AM TAKING THE VIP FROM THE VERY START.

The Vicky Milazzo Institute has a great LNC program. You can view her website @ www.LegalNurse.com for the information about her courses. There is also Kaplan University. Their LNC course takes about a year to complete.
