Legacy RN Residency February 2020

Published

Hello!

I wanted to start a thread for the 2020 applicants for the Legacy RN residency program. I just got my interview date for next month (11/13) and I wanted to see if anyone had any input on the interview process, types of questions they ask, what happens after the first set of interviews, how likely is it that if we make it through that we get assigned/hired to our preferred unit, etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Best of luck to everyone applying!

Hey RnLz123,

What area did you interview for last week?

Also Med specialities! I probably didn’t get it since I haven’t heard by now...

Don’t give up hope! From what it sounds like it can take them a couple of weeks to get back to people on whether they have been chosen or not!

For those of you who have had a second interview, what were the questions like? Similar to the first interview? Examples or really any information is greatly appreciated!

Still impatiently waiting to hear back about second interviews and trying to spend my time wisely prepping for the possibility of a call back.

Some questions were similar like the first interview and some were new. I can't remember every question but the ones I do remember are, describe a mistake that you made and what you did to resolve it, and describe a time when your good intentions were misunderstood. I hope that helps!

Hey guys! Just curious to know if you or someone you know has received a job offer into the program yet?

Hello there! I was offered a position around December 9th for L&D/family birth. But I know some units take into January to make decisions.

Congratulations!! That's so exciting. How long did you wait after your reference checks to get an offer? I hope that's the case for me lol. Its been 2 weeks now since I completed mine and haven't heard back so who knows. If I didn't get it, it would be nice to know sooner than later ?

Thank you! I want to say about a week? I had issues with my references not filling them out as quickly as I would have hoped. What unit are you waiting to hear back on? I know for family birth they had a couple residency spots and were hoping to get a few more but weren't sure how many they would be able to get. I hope you hear good news soon!

Yeah I had the same problem too. I'm waiting for medical specialties at Emanuel. Really? I tried interviewing there but they always had a line so I didn't have the opportunity to interview. Thank you!!

Best of luck and I hope we get to meet at orientation! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hey!

Congrats on getting into the residency. I was wondering if the spot was for Legacy Emmanuel or Legacy Salmon Creek?
