Hi everyone,
I'm a recently licensed new grad RN applying to nurse residency programs in Florida because NO ONE will hire you here with less than a year of experience! Especially in South Florida!
I had my first successful interview with Lee Memorial and was called for a second interview with two hiring managers from med-surg units. I was wondering if anyone has gone through the interview process with this health system and knows the type of questions they might ask? Or if you know of any questions that might be usually asked during a second interview?
This program starts July 6th (really soon!) and if I'm hired I would have to relocate, therefore if anyone has been hired into this program before, do you know how soon after the second interview you are notified that you are or aren't being offered a position? Is there even a third interview?
If anyone has any information, advice, or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated! Even general advice related to interviewing and sample questions would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Yes...I no longer work there ....I relocated back 2 miami 3 months ago...I must say it was the best experience ever! They have epic for charting....that's their electric medical records system they use...which is the best! They spoil their nurses with an iv team, wound care nurses and low CNA low patient ratios. I came back to miami and regret it. I have worked in 2 hospitals n ir has been hell because although lee is an older hospital which by the way they r planning to either tear down or use as a rehabilitation....it doesnt have marble floor or private rooms but it has everything u need 2 not feel burned out. Each room has a computer so u dont need a wow...I miss it...was actually trying to go back but I broke my contract so they marked me as a no rehire for 18 months..u will love it there ur nurse educator will be Sally n she is phenomenal..good luck..what unit
What areas do you recommend for renting an apartment? I have no idea where to even start looking!
If u need a room I can text my ex landlord she rents a room with shared bathroom for $600.
In reference to area ft myers has some apartments minutes away from the hospital that or cape coral
Sienna at vista lakes apartments are safe n only 8 min away...also u can rent a duplex or house in cape coral depending on ur budget
