lee college fall 2012 admission

hello, has anyone received there letter of admission for the ADN program at lee college for the fall semester of 2012?

I agree with making_1989...I would not advise anyone at all to attend this school. You are by yourself through the whole thing, you pay them to teach you nothing. They basically robbed all of us for our money. They were not willing to teach, it's like they were all watching out what they tell us and teach us. Please just go the hard route of taking the entrance exam at other colleges. Do not attempt to go the short cut of getting into a program that requires no entrance exam.

Good luck to all of those who are striving towards their RN, I am in the ADN program at Lee College and I graguate in May 2013. It is not easy,,, doing 3 years of BSN level work in 2years wh an ADN. Continue to strive towards BSN as most hospitals are going magnet status. Blessings to all!

I have been thru two nursing programs and they both were the same... tough, minimal help with studies, and it is on you to learn the material. This is not grade school , this is not like regualr college,, this is NUrsing school, and like other medical professions most skill is learned hands on on your own with professor observation!! If you are not able to step up and take charge of your learning experience, you WILL FAIL!!. First and formost, you MUST discover how you learn!! Are you verbal, kinetc, repetitive, social, auditory or a combination of them all. it is the professors job to guide you, help you think criticaly, not giving you all the anwsers, you have to problem solve for your patient and gain the skill of evidence based practice, develop your own nitch of practive, observation, and skill. Every nurse is different. In the LVN program at HCC, we started out with 86, pharmacology lost a lot of our class, we only graduated with 20. In the ADN program at LEE, we started out with 60, we are currently at 40, Pedi, OB and Med Surg II weeded them out. Lee is an excelent school, its hard, its tough, it is unorganized, it is messy, it is dramtic, it is not predictable, it is stressful, it is all of these things.....like real life, as a nurse on the unit!!

Nursing school prepares you for the real world. You will not have the same nurses, Dr, PCA's, or other staff every day or every week. Change is apart of the profession. So I hear what making_1989 is saying but the different staff, the unannounced clinical times and locations, the sudden change in class time or test times, and all the other unorganization that goes on in every program, this is preparing you for the crazy days you may have in the ER, or on the floor as charge nurse, or if a patient codes, or if a family member acts up. You have to be prepared for anthing as a Nurse, You are a leader and patients and other unliscenced personnel look up to you to know what to do UNDER PRESSURE!! so if you can't handle it in a learning setting, how can you handle it LIVE..5 4 3 2 1 ... your on,... all eyes on you!!!

My advice is to learn how you learn, find your way, have a back up for your back up, and another backup for that back up (family, children,) reach out to classmates or senoir level classmates, STUDY like failure is NOT an option... feel it like your kids look up to you and say "mommy why are you crying, why are you not graduating"? I saw this happen this semester to my classmate who did not pass psych and can not graduate with us in May. It killed me becasue I know how hard it is. Also many attempt to woerk while going thru the program, and many of those have not made it!! I do not advise working FT, PT may even be too much i you have kids and a family at home.

Im giving you the real on what it is like, and what I have seen and what it takes. I will graduate in May 2013, I have made one C and all other B's. with not working, 4 kids, and driving from Houston 60 miles each way every day, i almost lost my husband, and my kids, told me I was a mean mommy beacuse I had to put school first, and my family second. It was a temporary sacrifice I had to make for my family to make sure we have a better future!! It was a long 2 years of Nursing school, but we made it!

We study like pre med, we catch doctors errors, and we earn a Nursing pay check. It is a lot of responsibility, and it is not for the weak!! NEVER COMPLAIN and make blood with the staff, a be known as a complainer with your pears no onw ill want to work with you in groups, take it for what it is, study your ASS off, push thru and JUST DO IT!!! Good luck!!

Hello, I was unable to find any recent forums for Lee College and would like to know why? Or if any current student/recent graduates have any advise for potential applicants of Spring 2015? Thanks.
