:tinkbll:anyone got accepted at lee college in baytown for the adn program fall 2011.....i did and i'm so excited.:yeah:...just wanted to know if there's any other an veiwers headed to lee.:nurse:

:tinkbll:precise is there something you forgot to share with us....like the mass amount of wealth you have....i know that st. thomas is a private school and the tuition is higher than a giraffes you know what ....:chair:so that's the first reason right there why i would rule out st. thomas....i had a classmate once and she and i was on a nursing school hunt together at one time...i mean we would go take hesi tests together, go to orientations and you name it :bdyhdclp:...and she mentioned that st. thomas would be getting a nursing program and we looked up tuition and that's where i drew the line in the sand for us :anbd: i was like...i hear you talkn but i don't hear u. i think she ended up at san jac taking the lvn program inwhich i also opted out of.

are you super rich or are you willing to go that deep into debt.

to me that's not a fair comparison...that's like comparing oranges to mangos (my fav).... the two are not the same at all...those extra classes at st. thomas would probably be 1/2 or 1/3 of the whole program cost at lee.

i say ditch st. thomas.... just my :twocents: unless you're rich....then take us all to st. thomas with you .....:sofahider

:tinkbll:oh yeah precise....i forgot to add ...... i don't think chem is an requirement for lee....it's an requirement for a bsn program not the associates.:yeah:

Apply now to Lee College. You might get accepted this Fall :yeah:.

I have all afternoon classes. :yeah:

Nope, I'm not rich, just anxious to get in anywhere. :(

I'm actually a mother of two, married, and working full time.

I just get too excited to fast that's all. They offered me $7,500 scholarship that I'll receive every year just for being a transfer & another scholarship for 15,000 just for applying for their nursing program. So, I guess I need to spread my cards out right and look at the whole picture. It looks like I'll still be in debt with them even after getting these scholarships. I'm throwing St. Thomas out the window. Thanks.

Are you serious about what you said about Chem.

Do any of you have it? Because I really do not want to take Chem.

I doubt if I get in this fall because I do not have Pharm or Spanish yet.

Thanks, I really do hope we meet each other one day.

Also, if I get accepted to Lee I will also be driving from H-town to Lee Dr. :)

Chem is not required at all for Lee. I don’t have the chem class but will eventually take the class if I want to apply for the RN to BSN bridge program. So far my first semester tuition cost will be $743 and some change without books. I chose Lee College because of the cost. My advice to you would be to apply now and add the expected start date for the RN program.

:tinkbll:precise....please don't fall for all those scholarships they are so call giving you....that happened to me a couple years back when i applied at hbu...at the time i thought they still had their adn program but the semester before i applied was the last one they were offering adn....so....here they come sending information about how i was accepted in their bsn program and they was giving me a scholarship for $24,000 ....so i'm thinking wow...that's great...but how much is the program if i'm getting $24,000 worth of free money.....try $72,000 or $60,000 one of the two...can't quit remember now....can you say he** no. those type of schools are nuts....and yes i'm serious about chem...although i have taken it to prepare myself for bsn...it's not required for adn programs. but believe me i know how you feel when you say...just trying to get in somewhere...i was there before i got accepted at lee...but just refused to go insanely in debt to obtain another career.

we all need to make arrangements to meet up one day! :hpygrp:

Well, RNSG 1301 on-line was full, so I guess I have to take it in person. Going to take it with *****, & Spnl 1301 w/ ****.

I didn’t take the RNSG 1301 with that professor. I can’t give you any advice about his teaching methods because I never taken any of his classes or that particular class. However, I did take a Spanish class with ****. I’ve also taken healthcare Spanish with **** and loved it:up:. She’s awesome at helping you understand a foreign language. :)

:tinkbll:hello everyone,

just wanted to check in and say hi....how was your weekend and how's the preparation for our up coming journey? this current month is coming to an end and before you know it ....we'll be in august getting ready to start school. time is really taking off now...for me anyway.:D

i still haven't decided on my stet....anybody got theirs already?

Hello! I am a "returning newbie" to the program (took some years off to raise twins). Previously, I have taken all required Science classes for the program. Unfortunately, I have to retake all of them (5 year rule). When I discussed this with my counselor she warned me about not allowing my GPA to drop~which is a 3.5 at this point. I foolishly decided to take A&P 2 over the summer. I think I am going to make a C in the class!!! I'm so worried about the effect this will have on my GPA. Should I try to retake it in the Spring? I cannot apply for the program until 2012... Any suggestions???

:tinkbll:i think you may have posted this in the wrong place.....this thread is about lee college...but to answer your question ....you might want to retake that class...the schools are so competitve  until you probably don't want to have any c's when you apply....but you should also check with your school of choice about taking a class multiple times....to see what rules they have in ref to that.
