Nursing Students SRNA

Hello All!

Is anyone applying to the Summer 2024 LEAP program and has insight in the program and interview process? Applications are due in almost a month and from what I read the interviews come quickly and are intense. Any tips appreciated!

You are awesome. Is it OK if we keep in touch via email if that is OK with you. Or text message.

Sure - if you're able to shoot me a direct message with your info

Were you able to work during the program?

Are the classes extremely difficult?

Are the onsite requirements all at the Case Western campus or are we required to travel elsewhere?

Thank you so much for your insight! I applied for the 2024 cycle so hoping to score an interview.

My stats:

8 years ICU experience in level 1 trauma center

BSN, MSN, CCRN

Undergrad GPA 2.9

Graduate GPA 3.9

Charge/preceptor experience

Magnet rep

UBC Chair

Yes, a majority of my classmates work full time. For me I only work per diem because I have two little kids and I'm moving/got a lot going on. The classes are like drinking water from a fire hose- dense material and concepts. There is one on-site at CWRU and another at one of the other universities in final semester. Also, there in the Spring we attend AANA mid year conference in Washington DC

Hey I heard interviews went out Friday. 42 slots and half of them are full. I have not received an invite yet.

Me either! I'm not that surprised as my CCRN wasn't completed prior to application. Good luck to everyone who gets an interview!! Keep up posted.

Really ?! Someone posted last week that they called and was told invites wouldn't go out until February. I didn't get one either. I have been checking my email like crazy anyway despite believing invites were not coming until February.

Yes, it was me. I actually emailed them right after the application deadline before the holiday break and in the email reply was told that applicants selected for an interview would receive notification in February and they would also be sending out notifications to those not chosen, but that date wasn't specified.

I am in the current cohort and I have a couple of classmates who got into LEAP without even applying to CRNA school.

Hi, I have some questions to ask you, would you be opposed to an email conversation?

It will not allow me to send a DM. It states I have 0 available private messages to send. If you can send one to me, I can reply with my number or if you provide and email I can send my number to you.

Hey, I got my interview as well. The two days that they are scheduling for are Monday the 29th and Wednesday the 31st. From what I heard from a previous attendee they accept about 21 or so students. That's how much she had in her cohort.

my stats were:

3.12 overall GPA

3.7 or so science GPA if you consider the 2 science prerequisites that I retook.

no GRE

CCRN

My supplemental class was advance pathophysiology offered at the DNP level at my local university. Was able to get an A.

praying my interview goes well. And wishing you all the best. Keep at it I've been denied to 3 schools and this is my second year trying. So I'm grateful for the leap program. But don't give up. I'm fully prepared to apply year after year.
