Although I think that almost all of the schools except for one which is UAB that requires it. Having said that they still made all of us take it. I would take it before you start LEAP because once you start LEAP You will have no time to study for it. You don't need to score particularly well, they just want to see you take it.

You'll find out sooner like by Feb 15 is what we were told by Kasey. They want it sent out before ADCE conference which happens around that time.

From what I remember, I got two drug questions, two vent questions, and I think one patho.

You will be interviewed by all the directors of each of the programs in breakout rooms (typically 4 per room) and they will ask you a mix of clinical and emotional intelligence questions. Definitely be prepared to know how drugs work, mechanisms of action etc. If you don't, YOU NEED TO STUDY. In the lobby, the current students will be there to further answer your questions. Make sure you have good questions for the directors when they ask you, or they'll think you're disinterested/underprepared. Lastly, remain humble and try your best to paint a picture of who you really are and why you were put on this earth to be a CRNA. They want to see someone who is resilient and will go to any lengths to achieve that goal. I think I found out I got accepted within a week or two.

Yes, a majority of my classmates work full time. For me I only work per diem because I have two little kids and I'm moving/got a lot going on. The classes are like drinking water from a fire hose- dense material and concepts. There is one on-site at CWRU and another at one of the other universities in final semester. Also, there in the Spring we attend AANA mid year conference in Washington DC

You are given a chance to pick your top 3 and then in the beginning of your 3rd semester you'll find out which one you get picked for. The program director of Leap markets you to the directors of the programs and it's almost like a draft (program directors will select who they feel is a good fit) so it behooves you to do well in class and pay attention since the directors of the programs are often times the lecturers.

So they ask a combined mix of clinical questions and emotional intelligence questions. You definitely need to know your clinical well . The program itself is intense. We have quizzes every week for each section, and 2-3 exams per semester per class (2 classes) and a paper (1 class). They are all remote classes with 1-2 weekends where we do Simlab and then a weekend for midyear conference.

I am in the current cohort and I have a couple of classmates who got into LEAP without even applying to CRNA school.

Hello all, I know this is an old thread, but I would like to gather some information on the Pace University FNP MS program. I know things might have changed since you graduated, but I was interested to get your feedback on the program itself. I've been reading through some forums saying that it was not a good program and that it's difficult and people flunked out. I would like to get an honest opinion from others who may have not had such a negative experience. I did also have a few more specific questions regarding actually getting into the school as well.
