Hi! Wondering if anyone applied to the LEAP program at Case Western for Summer 2021 entry?

Specializes in CVICU/COVID ICU.

It was very intense, very clinical, total of an hour interviewing, it was pretty much what I expected content wise but I'm so glad it's over LOL

@Levoplease It's 4 different rooms 15 minutes per room so total of an hour and you see all 11 of the directors.

Oooooh okay that makes sense! Any emotional intelligence? Or straight clinical. Also, did they base it off your current experience or was it any type of ICU

@Levoplease emotional intelligence as well and both based on your experience as well as stuff any ICU nurse should know.

@Levoplease they didn't, I asked and they said they are hoping within the next couple of weeks since the program begins June 1st.

WHEW! I’m so happy that it’s over haha! I feel pretty okay. There were definitely some clinical questions I didn’t know… some stuff that has nothing to do with my specialty. ? you?

I’m glad it’s over as well! I’m surprised by the number of schools they added! 
 

I felt like when they found out I was a CV nurse they really stuck the questions to me LOL some I didn’t know but I gave them my thought process for the ones I didn’t know which they seemed to be really receptive to. Hopefully we find out in the next week or 2!

Yea I’m MICU and I was getting cardiac stuff ? but it’s all good!! I still think I did well overall! And honestly we aren’t going to know everything! So that’s refreshing  Hopefully we hear back soon!! Fingers crossed!!

Sorry I'm replying so late, but I felt pretty happy it was over too. I hate the waiting game now, but I'm also hoping it's not too long of a wait. I did appreciate that we got to get 11 schools interviews out of the way in one. I feel like I'll be much more prepared for any more interviews I have now in the future. Wishing everyone luck and I'll update if and when I hear something ?
