LCC 2013 Applicant Roll Call

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

OK, in 3 1/2 more weeks I am finally DONE with all my pre-reqs....yay!!!! :D

Who else is applying in January? (March 1st deadline)

I am hoping with all my might that I get accepted. My cum. GPA is 3.6, but my pre-req GPA (currently) 4.0. With GPA & phlebotomy, I'll have 142 points. If they accept my volunteer hours, I should have 152 points. I hope that's enough to get in. Last year's cut off was 141.

Who else out there is applying?

Specializes in Hospitalist Medicine.
Good luck to you all! Don't freak out during orientation, they will run down a list of all the things that will get you kicked from the program. It will seem overwhelming and you'll have a "what have I gotten myself into" moment, but it will pass. My advice as a recent graduate: record the lectures and follow the syllabi, save you it can. You can do this!

Thanks, PadawanLearner :) I've been thinking about getting a recorder. You're the 3rd person that has told me to do this. Guess I know what I'll be shopping for this weekend!

Specializes in Med surg, psych.

I've noticed that there are several Facebook groups for various graduation classes of the nursing program (LCC Nursing Winter 2014, etc). Does anyone know if there is one for our class yet? I haven't noticed one. That would be a great way to share lecture recordings and form study groups.

I haven't seen one specifically for LCC. I belong to the AllNurses Class of 2015 group on FB and there are a few of us from LCC on there. Let me know if you find one! Maybe someone will mention it today at orientation?
