How do you deal with co workers that do not pull their weight and are nasty with patients?

Dang it, Cream and Sugar! You beat me on this one.
@ cream n sugar and soldier nurse you are Policing all my threads. So I shall repeat one last time slowly for you to understand. These are RANDOM post for Intelligent people to answer...not home work assignments being that I am not in school. God bless you both and have a great night. : )
SU2013, your threads--once posted--are not your own. Everyone has a right to comment.
If you can't handle the opinions of people online/do your own research/respond appropriately, then please reconsider nursing as your new profession as all of the aforementioned concepts are staples of the trade.
Soldier nurse you are not policing my threads to even answer the RANDOM question I posted you go straight into attack mode as your name imply. In my opinion your behavior do not make a good nurse and I sure would not want you caring for me because you obviously lack empathy amongst other things. I will leave it at this and then you can continue to police. God bless you from the bottom of my heart. He loves you and so do I . Goodnight
Oh yes, yes. Please bring on the assumptions, military stereotypes and generalizations about my character/nursing abilities/compassion because you don't like what I have to say. It will clearly strengthen your argument and impress the other members of AN.
Really and seriously, if your only option is to steer the course of the conversation to my character, you may reconsider the validity of your position.
as your name imply
.
In my opinion your behavior do not make a good nurse
In my opinion, your grammar "do" not make a good nurse.
God bless you from the bottom of my heart. He loves you and so do I .
Tacking on "God bless" to a presumptuous, immature post is not as redeeming as you seem to think it is. You'll find most folks on AN do not respond well to condescension, especially when it is of a religious nature.

I would say that when dealing with lazy coworkers (nursing field or not) it's important to make sure all of your jobs are done to the best of your ability. Then, you could pick up the loose ends and show management what you're really made of :) But if the coworkers are being lax and potentially hazardous to the patient with their "laziness" it might be a good time to make good notes of their actions and then bring them up to management.
Cmon, everyone. Let's keep a positive environment on here. No need for the right-fighting and bickering. If you don't want to answer a question or thread, just don't. It helps with the atmosphere. :)

Thats pretty hostile of you, IMHO. The "God loves you, and so do I" statement doesn't make up for that.
cant we agree to disagree?

Gee, OP, did you ever go by "Zuzi" in a previous life???

Funny, I thought her name implied that she is a solider...
I find this comment particularly out of line, not to mention disrespectful.
Ponder that thought while your typing away, enjoying your American freedom??
