LAVC Spring 2021

Hello,

Applied for the nursing program at LAVC for Spring of 2021. Wanted to start a discussion post for anyone else who applied to vent frustration, ask questions, provide new information, and perhaps let us fellow dreamers know if anyone got a notification from them.

Anybody who got an invitation to take the TEAS with them?

One of the program assistants called me yesterday to say that I was accepted to the program! ??? The day prior she had called me to see if I had submitted my TEAS score and that she will follow up with me after confirming receipt.

This was my first cycle applying to ADN programs. I applied to LAVC, GCC, and COC, where I met the cut-score for each but was only accepted at LAVC.

My stats are: 4.0 Core GPA, 3.8 Overall GPA, 84 TEAS.

To anybody who will be attending the zoom later, would you please ask if how many student will they admit for this semester and also if are they done calling the students? Thank you. Just hoping. ?

I attended the 4PM meeting today. They are still calling applicants and mentioned that some applicants have been invited to take their TEAS and are waiting on their results.

So are they not going to notify by email? I still have not received any correspondence from LAVC Nursing Department. Anyone in my shoes?

I spoke to them on Tuesday because my phone # changed and they said if they can’t reach you by phone they’d email but I haven’t received anything either..maybe try calling them ?

I emailed someone in that department and said they are still looking at applications and will email your school email.
