LAVC Spring 2021

Hello,

Applied for the nursing program at LAVC for Spring of 2021. Wanted to start a discussion post for anyone else who applied to vent frustration, ask questions, provide new information, and perhaps let us fellow dreamers know if anyone got a notification from them.

@workingsmartnothard do you know if they got back to the rest of the cohort? They called me last Thursday to send my TEAS and have t heard back. I’m trying not to get my hopes up since I’m not sure if all applicants are asked to send TEAS. Congratulations on your acceptance btw ?

I’m not sure if they have the full cohort. They did have a 2nd Zoom meeting on Monday with new people.

I haven’t heard anything back either. I called and they told me notifications would be completed latest would be end of June.

Hello everyone, I called yesterday at noon and was told that it was impossible that anyone was accepted. That acceptance emails will not be sent out till June of next month, and that no one has been sent an email of acceptance nor have they had any zoom meetings with applicants

Oh wow! Well that gives me hope - acceptance in  May did seem too early but since people said they received acceptance call I wouldn’t think that they’d lie about something like that.... unless it was a misunderstanding.

Not a misunderstanding. We all received acceptances via our LAVC email and we already met the professors and director via Zoom. 

They did mention this was the fastest they’ve accepted people and they’re not done yet.
