Applied for the nursing program at LAVC for Spring of 2021. Wanted to start a discussion post for anyone else who applied to vent frustration, ask questions, provide new information, and perhaps let us fellow dreamers know if anyone got a notification from them.

They are accepting about 15-20 students until May 27th. They already have half of the cohort enrolled. Semester starts August 30th & they don’t have dates for orientations yet.

You are so lucky @workingsmartnothard, I’ve been applying for 4 consecutive semesters and still waiting to pass the lottery section. ?

@workingsmartnothard do you think the call they give to get the TEAS transcript means an acceptance? They haven't called back after asking for my TEAS.

Yes, 

they will accept you as long as you meet the minimum TEAS score. What was your score?

76. I'm just worried because they haven't call me back yet after asking for the TEAS transcript.

They haven’t answered my emails lately either. 
On the Zoom meeting, they did mention they would contact more people on/by May 27th. They weren’t sure when the next Zoom meeting will be because they need the other 20 students to be admitted to the cohort.

Oh okay that makes sense. You said there's a zoom meeting? Was it for the half of the students who got accepted?

There was a little more than half, yes.

They mentioned the rest were taking their TEAS.

@workingsmartnothard do you know if they got back to the rest of the cohort? They called me last Thursday to send my TEAS and have t heard back. I’m trying not to get my hopes up since I’m not sure if all applicants are asked to send TEAS. Congratulations on your acceptance btw ?
