LAVC Registered Nursing Spring 2018

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi All,

I decided to join these forums as i am an aspiring nursing student. Im excited to be a part of this online community. Aside from all the available online data from their website, can somebody shed some light on this program? I have applied already and have been studying for the TEAS test. Has anybody else applied for spring 2018? This would be my first ever application to Nursing school. Im super nervous but excited as theres not too many male Nurses as far as i know. Does anybody know if they have started inviting students to take the TEAS? Thank you all and god bless!

Hey, I just called like a minute ago and glad she's there. I think her name is Gabby. So, she said that they're still working on it and asked me if already took the teas test. I said no and she said they're going to notify us a week in advance to take it if we ever got selected. Also, she said that they're going to notify us regardless of our status (if we get selected or not) before the winter break ends. I also mentioned that if they're started accepting students and she confirmed it and just said that they're working on it.

I just hope that they really notify us. It just cruel to leave hopeful students hanging.

@mimili20 where did you take your teas if I may ask?

I took it at lattc and was on their waiting for a almost a year!

Thanks for the good luck wishes. I have read the past discussions from previous semesters and it just seems really odd that nobody mentioned taking the teas exam at the campus. Im just confused at this point but im going to keep following up. Im just praying at this point and studying. Lol i wish everyone good luck as well and please let me know if new info arises.

Also always apply to a few schools and dont give up uf you dont get in. I applied to 3 last semesters and did not get in. Very frustrating. And now got into 2. So yeah it might take time but you ll get in! Also i recommend you apply to lattc as they have a waiting list. First come first served so you 100% sure to get in!

Im not giving up im just trying to be as efficient as possible. I will be applying to the said colleges when the application period opens. I just like the LAVC campus and its closest to me but thats all secondary. Congrats on getting accepted. I also spoke to Gabby just now and was told they are working on it. Over 200 students applied. Ugh i just hope i get in.

Lattc doesnt have application period. Just go to their monthly workshop and filled out the application!

Thank you for the info, i went ahead and signed up to the information session. The funny thing is when i called LAVC, the lady on the phone told me not to go to orientation since i already applied. Not sure why, but she advised i dont go. But for LATTC its mandatory so i will be going on the 5th of December.

Yeah they have 2 different orientations at lavc. One is an information session where they tell you what you need to apply etc. So not for you as you already applied. The other one is when you get accepted, they tell you your clinical sites etc.

Yeah i figured it was a general orientation, not like the one at LATTC. Which school do you plan on attending?

I have decided to go to pierce college. Still waiting on harbor. Lattc was my backup plan as it s not my favorite school.

Ya i actually made an appointment as there is an orientation today so i will go check out LATTC. Good luck at Pierce college.
