LAVC Registered Nursing Spring 2018

Hi All,

I decided to join these forums as i am an aspiring nursing student. Im excited to be a part of this online community. Aside from all the available online data from their website, can somebody shed some light on this program? I have applied already and have been studying for the TEAS test. Has anybody else applied for spring 2018? This would be my first ever application to Nursing school. Im super nervous but excited as theres not too many male Nurses as far as i know. Does anybody know if they have started inviting students to take the TEAS? Thank you all and god bless!

I'm curious too. That's what I want to ask them so I called today, but the lady said that the one who's in charge for the applications will come in today at 10 AM. I'm not available to call them after 10 until 5 PM. Could you ask them if you don't mind?

I also applied for fall 2017 and spring 2018. That school dont offer the teas testing so if u havent pass it yet, you are not gonna get in. When they are done with the lottery they call the selected students and ask them to send the teas and you are in! I did not get in for fall 2017 and havent heard from them for spring 2018 but it s fine as i got into pierce and lattc.

But it clearly states on the application info that they provide the test for eligible applicants. It doesnt state anywhere on the official form that you have to take the Teas test outside of the school.

I know but they dont. Read past forums. Some students were waiting for them to call to tell them when to pass the test when the selected students already had orientation. Something fishy in how they select students! They pretty much only picked students who passed the teas. I know it s not fair. If you call them they going to say that it s not true blabla but it is. All the students that got in the last few semesters have already passed the teas test.

Where did you take your teas test? It did clearly state that they will invite students, but I haven't known anyone who took their teas test in that school.

So how it works is if youre selected then they ask for your teas score and if you havent taken it they invite you to take it. I also got the "the person who handles the selection comes in at 11" so they just dont want to release information. I guess we just have to study for it and hope we get selected.

They should atleast have a confirmation email or something how do we know if they sent it to thr wrong email or called the wrong phone number? Im super nervous at this point.

Yeah that is how is supposed to work but it s not :( as i said if u call them they gonna say it s not true. But just read past forums and you gonna see that all the selected students had their teas results.But wish u good luck! They also lied to students. When i called last semester the lady said i was like 8 spots away but when i apply for spring the front lady checked why i did not get in last semester and said i was like number 180 something. Hmmm ok weird!!!
