LAVC Fall 2020

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi Guys!!

I’m getting ready to start the nursing application for LAVC. They ask us to “mail” our transcripts I’m but I’m wondering if e-transcripts are just as good? It’s still being send out from one campus go LAVC Admissions’ office... just not physically, ya know? Haha

Let me know if y’all had an experience with this!

Did anyone apply to Los Angeles City College and hear anything from them?

I also applied to the LAVC nursing program for Fall 2020. Good luck everyone!

So anxious! I wonder when we will be hearing from them.

They said July

Anyone get any news?

I had emailed them asking for an update and received a response today that they are still waiting for the Admissions and Records Office to calculate cut scores for all the applicants. She said that process normally takes 1-2 months.?

That’s ridiculous!! LOL

I attended the zoom call they had today and they were saying 1-2 months till they get the chancellors cut score formulated. THEN they will send TEAS invites to those who make the cut and they may be required to take the TEAS within a few days. The nursing director also said theory will be 100% online and they will not be able to make accommodations for clinical days and hours as they are not allowing students for clinical sites. Students are completing clinical hours by volunteering at COVID testing sites and sometimes it's very short notice and mandatory to graduate. She basically said this is the new norm and if you aren't okay with this you should rethink.

I hope so! The zoom information meeting was so disheartening when they just kept saying 1-2 months.

Had anyone received any updates?
