Laptop for Nursing Program?

Hi all!! In orientation for CSN's RN program they talked a bit about using a laptop in class. Does anyone recommend doing this? I've never used a laptop in a class before and I don't often see people with one. I think it might be really helpful though. Any thoughts??

Well tonight I went ahead and ordered the Acer Aspire One, it's the 160GB 6 cell battery version so that i won't have to worry about finding outlets in the classroom and great for days i might be spending the whole day on campus. It's my christmas present, can't wait to get it and hope it brings me lots of use in nursing school.

I love mine!!!! If you ever want to upgrade the battery look on ebay! They also have skins etc etc.. I plan on staying on campus for days at a time since I'm not working and the laptop is my new buddy!! Have my books on there right now even!

That's awesome. Well I went with the 6 cell battery since that is supposed to give you like 6hrs without plugging it in so hopefully that should do quite well for campus stuff and it was a better deal than buying the 3 cell version and buying a battery later on. Didn't know you could get skins for it, I bought the sapphire blue version. So glad to hear that you love yours though.
