Lansing Community College 2016 role call

Published

Hi all. I am applying to the Nursing program at LCC traditional 2 year track for 2016. I am anxious and wanted to converse with others in the same boat.

Okay I will make one this afternoon and update you guys on here what it is called! I emailed my acceptance agreement back to ---------------- did anyone else do this?

Yay! I received my acceptance email as well! I start in January, but that's what I requested!:):)

Please let me know if a Facebook page is started!

Congratulations everyone!!!!

Yeah it would be nice to have a common area we could all easily communicate. A FB page would be great

Kris or anyone else, any ideas what time we should get an email? Are we all expecting midnight emails or sometime throughout the morning/day??? I know I won't be sleeping well tonigh!!!

Not sure. When I went through the program, you only got a letter in the mail. I stalked the mailbox daily :p

Wishing you all get good news today :)

I got in!! Its for the spring id rather start in the fall . hope everyone gets their email today!!

When you go to orientation, there's an orange sheet you fill out and you can request to switch semesters using that form. I was originally placed in the 3 year program and was able to switch to 2 Year Fall start. :)

Okay guys I made a page! Search on Facebook: LCC 2016 nursing students! And you should find it, right now it's only myself in the group so feel free to join

YAY! So happy for you and for everyone else who made it in.

It's an incredible journey. It will be filled with laughter, frustration, tears and joy. There's no way to explain what it's like without having to actually go through it. If any of you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. I've been through it at LCC and I always appreciated the nurses who went before me that lent a helping hand when I had questions. I'm more than happy to help anyone. Just send me a PM though this site.

In fact, we started a group of AllNurses students when we started and we're all still great friends even after graduation. I work with 2 of them on my unit at Sparrow now :D I'm sure I'll be seeing some of you during clincals. Our unit usually has the final semester NURS 285 students.

When you're ready to buy text books, look online for them. I saved a ton of money buying my books through Amazon instead of going to Gibsons or SBS. My original shipment of textbooks was over 50 pounds!

I would also suggest getting a good clipboard that allows you to store papers inside it. It comes in handy for clinicals. I got one with a built in calculator so I could calculate drip rates quickly. Highlighter markers are your friend :)

So excited for you all to begin your journey. I loved -------------------(your NURS 150 instructor). She was one of my favorites from the program. You are lucky to get to have her for your foundations course. She's the best!

I'm searching for LCC 2016 nursing students and it's not coming up. Maybe it takes a while for a group to post?

I am not finding it. :(

I just changed the group from closed to public so maybe that will help, it should come up! I had one person join already.. If we still have problems you can pm me here and I can try and search you on fb and send you an invite

Found it! I was looking for pages instead of groups!:)

I found it! I was looking in the wrong area and not under groups. I think I would have the group as a closed group. Everything we post can be seen by everyone. Just a thought. :)
