Lansing Community College 2016 role call

U.S.A. Michigan

Hi all. I am applying to the Nursing program at LCC traditional 2 year track for 2016. I am anxious and wanted to converse with others in the same boat.

I'm sure you have nothing to worry about with those points :)

I am learning how to maneuver AN and you have to replay with in the message so that everyone is aware of whom you are responding to. So, Im repeating what I originally commented above. I am positive that with 146 points you will be accepted and will most likely be able to choose your start date. I was just telling my husband that the way LCC is set up that even the candidates with the most competitive scores are nervous about being accepted. You just have to sit back and wait for your letter....I need to pray :)

I missed the cut off by one point last year so I am

still nervous and praying until June!:)

I totally get that..... I am fearful this will be me this year. But I was told the cutoff is expected to be 130 this year. What did you do to become more competitive?

Hi everyone! My name is Brittany and I am also applying for the 2016 LCC nursing program. I just passed pharmacology this semester so now I atleast have a shot of getting in. I only have 134 points as of now depending on final grades. I'm so nervous this won't be enough to get in but I am just praying we can all get good news soon. Good luck to everyone!

Hi! I am praying as well. I just finished re-taking Psy 205 for a 4.0; I just submitted my research paper so I hope my grade remains high. Geesh talk about stressed out about points. I am hoping the cut off is 128 so that I can have a shot at getting in. I am also applying to Jackson this week as a backup and will continue to look into other schools just in case. We are getting closer and closer to June 1st, I think that will be the day I have a heart attack. I am trying to be optimistic, but when I received the email that stated 220 people applied and there were only 160 seats to fill, I pretty much lost all hope. So much is running through my mind now, I'm sure we are all going through it. I wish you all the very best as well and hope that June 1st we can all come back to post our good news!!!

I understand how you feel! I just finished taking Pharm and got an 81.09 in the class, you're telling me about stressed! LOL, 220 people applied for both the traditional and accelerated so when you weed out the accelerated students that gives us a better chance! I hope the cut off is 128 too! Have you talked to an advisor at all about what their guess the cut off will be is? I feel like we both have a fair shot so lets just hope we can get in! Im so anxiously awaiting June first its already driving me crazy

I haven't spoken to an advisor since I applied back in February, at that time they were guessing the cutoff should be 130 so you should be fine getting in...thanks for the encouragement it helps. I feel like we all need shoulders to lean on. And yes the suspense is killing me too:nailbiting:

Hi there! I just wanted to check with you and see how things went for final grades? I think I can officially say I am at 134 points and feeling ok about it! I am a little bit bummed because my GPA was 3.48 so just off the next category of points by one which kinda stinks! Hoping you got some good news as well now that grades are up.

Specializes in Hospitalist Medicine.

Are they still doing the 3 year track? When I went to LCC, they admitted 224 each year (64 Fall 2 year, 64 Spring 2 year, 32 3 year, 32 Accelerated & 32 Advanced Standing).

The points cut off changes every year, so it makes it hard to know what it will be. Best of luck to all of you!!! :D

Hi! I 4.0 my class, but I'm bummed because I wish I could have retaken a few more. I'm officially at 128 I transferred in two classes that were on quarter hours and got credit for 3.33 and not 4.0 in both, I also have a lot of 3.0 so I can't blame anyone but myself. My GPA is 3.49 so I am a little ticked about that too. Also I saw they made even more changes to the advising guide...Math 112 no longer meets the requirement for 2017-2018. I'm starting to feel like this process is a hustle, but I'm still determined . I meet with JCC Monday hoping for better news there

SopranoKris, they are no longer doing the three year track:angrybird3:
