Apparently Spring intakes are not as competitive as the fall intakes from what I’ve heard! Fingers crossed that we all get in ??

All the best

heyy! does anyone know how we can apply with our prereqs from langara to douglas or kpu?

Hello,

Douglas requires 10 courses (  ) there is a 2 years waiting list from the time you completed your 10 courses. Preferable admission is given to students enrolled in Academic Foundation. It is not hard to get into the foundation year.  Douglas doesn't  have crazy GPA expectations.

KPU

You have to be accepted to their AF. There is also Casper test to take.

Yes you can, I applied to Langara with Douglas courses.

Hi everyone!

I’ll be applying with a 3.79/3.8 GPA after getting waitlisted with a 3.6 for Fall 2021. Best of luck to all of us :)

Hi folks!

Did anyone have their school send transcripts via post mail? I contacted admissions and they said you can send scanned copies or post them to Langara.

Mine should have arrived by now, but my Langara account still says "missing documents" and I'm having a slight freakout. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm wondering if I should also send scanned copies, just to be safe.

How cool that we've all come this far? The journey getting here has been so long!

Ps. I'm applying with either a 3.73 or 3.8 (depending on which English class they will look at).

I did my pre-reqs at Capilano and had my transcript mailed on May 7th. My application wasn’t updated to “Application is Complete” until ~12 days later! As long as your school has informed you that they’d already sent it, I think you’ll be OK--Langara just hasn’t updated your application yet! Hope everything works out for you!

Oh boy ! Don’t do that mistake. email the copy and called Langara to see if they have received it ! When  you call they usually leave a note on your application regarding the matter you called for. You don’t want to risk.

Thanks for your reply! You really put my mind at ease.

The waiting game has officially started! I'm trying not to obsessively think about when they'll decide our fate -- but its hard! And it's literally the very beginning!

How's everyone else doing?

It is really a waiting game ! I have spend so much energy into this nursing application and researcher “. My brain is done !

Hey everyone, I'm not an applicant yet but hopefully will be starting my pre-reqs and applying everywhere (incl Langara) next year!! Just curious, does Langara also look at your work/volunteer experience or is there just a heavy focus on GPA? Also, do they only consider your pre-req GPA or overall?

Thank you for any input :)

All of you have really strong GPA/profile and I hope you guys get in the Spring term!!

Hey there! I believe Langara only looks at your overall GPA from the 5 pre reqs only. Other schools like UBC or BCIT require a lot of work/volunteer experience to be a strong applicant but Langara doesn't. Hope this helps!
