I know the application deadline for the Fall 2016 intake is still in January, but has anyone applied yet? If you don't mind sharing, what GPA did you apply with?
I know I was so saddddd, then the guys like its not 100% but typically B- and lower will not get a letter of acceptance. BUT we should still have some hope, i think some will be wait listed because some people apply to different schools, for example most want to attend bcit but will also apply to langara. If they drop out, then a seat becomes available. So fingers crossed!!
Well, if everyone here who gets accepted can post their GPA, then we'd all have an idea of what to shoot for. Just wondering how long people on this thread have taken to do their prerequisites, and have been wait listed, then not gotten in? Also, does it matter if the first time you do a course, you get a C, but the second time, you get an A-; they just take your better grade and disregard the other, right? Or, do they look at your overall GPA, including repeat courses which will lower your overall GPA.
just wondering if the calculation is only on the best grades of the 5 courses?
I emailed to ask what the gpa cut off was this intake yesterday to try to settle my nerves and the response said they hadn't begun the selection process yet so they unfortunately couldn't tell me what that was. If we haven't gotten an update by March 17, then we can email again for an update....
I'm selfishly hoping that people that applied to multiple schools take their acceptance offers there. Lol I stupidly put "all my eggs in one basket" so to speak, so the more people that go elsewhere the better since it sounds like there are SO many people with incredible gpas applying this intake to langara.

I'm surprised because I remember back when they just changed the pre-req's and people were being accepted with really low GPA's... they even extended the deadline! It seems to be getting more and more competitive every intake, makes sense though... Gah.
