Hi EtherealRailgun! This might be a silly question but how did you take notes during the program? I know there’s ample research on retaining information better when taking notes by hand... but I’m trying to go paperless to be more environmentally friendly and save my back lol. Hey all! I was number 13 on the wait list then number 1 and got my acceptance letter to UBC a few days ago! I got into Langara as well and was contemplating on which school to attend. I’m a UBC alumna, so UBC feels like home to me. However, I was told to avoid UBC nursing as it lacked to provide sufficient clinical hours due it being an accelerated program. I’m so glad I read through this forum and got proper information, especially from a current nursing grad! It has definitely put my mind at ease ? This forum has seriously been a life saver (and a stress reliever haha) so thank you to everyone who contributed! I’m excited to start this journey and wish you all the best!

Hi everyone! I got an email too but it was in my junk mail so be sure to look there! I'm on the reserve list #13. Admission average rank 2, Supplemental 3, and CASPer 2. I got into Langara's Fall intake so I have a a backup in case I don't get in here but I'm still anxious about the final results lol! Good luck to you all! ?

Definitely mixed reviews about it! I got some weird questions too, I just typed as fast as I could to answer each question lol. I do however wonder how much of the Casper score is taken into account for admission...?

Thank you! ? Yes, they do. When I spoke to the admissions advisor, she stated that individuals with a degree get preference over others. I assume they also look at your GPA along with your degree. Then they select individuals with the highest GPAs etc.

Hi mb96! I agree but I have a few friends who are already nurses who assured me that it does help a bit when you're on the job if you have to make ethical decisions etc... I'm just glad it's over! ? Now the dreadful waiting lol ?

Hi everyone! I also applied with a degree. Last I checked, emails should be going out within the first couple of weeks of March but no definitive date. I'm already shocked at how fast February has passed, still can't believe it's March! Wishing you all the best ?

Hi everyone! I'm pretty late to this forum but it's great to know that there are a bunch of you out there who are also anxiously waiting like me >.< I did that Casper test on the last day (Sunday) and boy was it something... Looking forward to the next few months! All the best to everyone ?

I know I was so saddddd, then the guys like its not 100% but typically B- and lower will not get a letter of acceptance. BUT we should still have some hope, i think some will be wait listed because some people apply to different schools, for example most want to attend bcit but will also apply to langara. If they drop out, then a seat becomes available. So fingers crossed!!

I also emailed them, they said the cut off is around A-, anything lower will not get offers of enrolment. And they take about 80 students per semester. They will be getting back to students by the end of the month and will continue throughout March. All the best to everyone, I'm anxiously waiting and constantly checking my status!!!

I have friends who have attended both langara and douglas and both have decent programs. But I've heard douglas has some iffy instructors and can be biased and racist. I chose Langara over the other schools because its the closest school to me, much more convenient! All the best to you!
