  1. I got the call this morning! Feels unreal...very very excited to meet all of you. Good luck to those still waiting . fingers crossed.
  2. Wow I got the same hold list email yesterday too!
  3. I also got wait listed this morning.. You'd think one would've gotten used to all this waiting by now... Nope. lol
  4. Hey guys, I'm shortlisted as well. This is my second time applying and being shortlisted. I have 111 credits from UBC and kind of dated volunteer work. For grades, I have a 73% cumulative. I'm not sure about the grade conversion from ubc -> bcit, but I do know that last intake successful applicants had at least 3.00 cumulative (bcit scale) and there was over 300 applicants. Best of luck to everyone.. í ½í¸Š
  5. No need to wait an entire year! Langara has two intakes - this September one as well as January. Also a 3.00 GPA doesn't sound very high.. May I ask where you got this number? If the average was indeed that low it could be due to the fact that these new requirements were JUST implemented. The last intake was also a January intake which is normally less competitive than September intakes. And I agree with you that to look exclusively at 5 courses based only on letter grades (not even percentage..) is rather superficial
  6. I'm waitlisted with a 3.4. Does anyone know if we get email notification for being waitlisted?
  7. Thanks for the news tinaaa :) then i suppose we can kick back and wait some more seeing as they haven't begun the selection! On the other hand this might be good for bcit applicants since now the offers might go out around the same time.
