Hi there,
I recently applied to the BSN program at Lakeview College of Nursing in Danville, IL and I was wondering if any of you could tell me a bit about it. I'm transferring from a program that I felt I couldn't graduate from and after my first semester I felt no closer to being a nurse than before I started. I guess I want to know how the faculty is toward students. Are they helpful and caring toward their students? Upon graduation do you feel ready to be a nurse? Overall, how is the program?
Thank you!

Hey Katie1770,
I am also planning to apply to Lakeview College.
Do you know if we start Fall 2010 in the accelerated program, we finish the next year?
I am also interested to know how Lakeview College is like.
There have been several links about Lakeview College. This is the most recent:

If you are interested, there is also another school 55 miles away from Chicago. It's called Valparaiso University in IN. It sounds like a good school and it is around the same price as Lakeview also.
Take care.
Thank you so much for the information!
As far as I understand, I think if we start in the Fall and get a 3.0 in our first 2 semesters then we are able to take summer school and finish Fall 2011...if we don't get the 3.0 the first 2 semesters then we don't get to take summer school and we finish Spring 2012.
Let me know when you hear back from Lakeview!
Hey Katie,
I ended not applying to Lakeview but did apply to Valparaiso University.
I'm admitted for Fall 2010 but having a hard time deciding whether to go or not.
Did you apply to Lakeview/Valparaiso?
All the best!
