I'm a new RN grad and was wondering if anyone has any info about Lakeland Regional? I was looking at thier new grad residency program, which sounds like a pretty good deal for starting out in the field of nursing. Has anybody heard anything or have any feedback about the facility/program? Also are there any other facilities in the Tampa Bay area that do a similar program?
Anyone?

mcf, Im a new grad too and am interested in Lakeland as well. Hopefully someone responds! I actually live in Brandon, but the drive wouldnt be that far bc I commuted all the way to orlando for school. It seems like the traffic is better going towards orlando than into tampa...I figure the drive would be the same if not quicker than going to say, tampa general for me.
I'm on vacation in Zephyrhills right now, so I think I'm going to head over there and look up a recruiter. Wow, Brandon to Orlando? That is one heck of a comute. Have you checked out anything up here around SE Pasco county/New Tampa? Lots of decent housing (all new), and not quite as busy as towards the city...

I have done clinicals there, and will be doing more this semester, the staff was wonderful, the recruiter came and talked with us, they have alot to offer student nurses as well as new grads, I have several classmates who work as nurse interns while we finish school and they absolutely love it and plan on working there after graduation. If you call their HR office and ask for an information packet they will send you all the information, they have alot of incentives to pursue MSN degrees as well

Does anyone have any idea what type of salaries Lakeland Regional offers? I'm considering applying there. Do they offer any sign on bonuses?
I've been a nurse for almost 3 years (2 1/2 in Cardio).
Thank you.
The nurse recruiter will tell you everything, their weekend & night shift diff is really good for a new nurse, they gave us all the info almost a year ago so i'm not sure the exact amounts, it's just too far for me to drive on a regular basis
