I am taking nclex next friday, the 16th and I have been doing the case studies in the lacharity book today. All I can say is WOOOOW. I haven't been doing very well on a lot of them and now I am starting to get extremely stressed. I am horrible at the sata's. I either pick one too many or leave one out. I was wondering if anyone had any advice. I am setting here and I am almost in tears I am so worried. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!:crying2:

My advice for SATA is to do the best you can but do not stress over each question. Give it a good amount of effort, then move on to the next question, otherwise you will never progress through the test.

I agree that you should not stress (easier said than done, right). What I did was take each answer to the SATA questions is to take them one at a time and think yes/no or true/false and it seemed to make it a lil better for me. I didn't look down the list at all of them at the same time. All the best to you!!

The SATA's on the NCLEX-RN, IMHO, were not extremely difficult. They were absolultly do-able. My best preperation advice: try to lower your anxiety by using stress reduction techniques.
Thanks for all of the advice! I thinky anxiety plus just being tired of studying has finally gotten to me!!!

I passed yesterday with 75 questions. The LaCharity book really made a difference. I completed the whole book except for case study 18,19 & 20 because I ran out of time. I didn't get them all right either sometimes a third of them wrong and occasionally half of them wrong. The important thing is to read and understand the rationale so you see what the correct thing is to do if you are in that situation. What I did was I would mark in the answer key the ones that I got wrong then I went to each chapter and highlighted that specific question. Then closer to my test date I reread every question/rationale that I got wrong. Good Luck!

LaCharity was the only book id say that helped, but also know infection control too and i think that chapter in lacharity was very helpful. I will recommend that to anyone.
