Lacc nursing fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello, i applied lacc nursing for fall 2017 and i made a thread to share any information. Anyone heard anything from them ?

I finally got a letter from lacc saying that im an alternate #42. I have to attend orientation and fire safety class even if im an alternate.

I know it's a big coincidence that you are #42 and I am #41 so I called the nursing counselor to verify. He said that our number is our place on the waiting list of alternates. Let's just hope many students choose another school so that we have a chance. I stil called to hold my spot because it's my first choice

Where are all the 1-40 alternates?

I called to hold my spot as soon as i got a letter. When i saw the old thread, people were saying that alternate 40s got accepted.. so lets just not lose hope yet.. when is your orientation and fire satefy ?

Yes! Reserve reserve and be ready to go to orientation! Or call and ask questions! Their staff are very nice and they will answer any questions you might have.

Hello,

I also forgot to mention that I received my medical packet through an email. If you haven't received yours, please contact the Nursing Dept.

Let's hope for the best;). It is odd how no one on this thread is alternate 1-40

I talked to someone who applied for it and then changed his mind. You have to have a good GPA on your first semester of the nursing program, after you speak to the nursing counselor that you are interested in the Adn-bsn. It's a 3 year program, the first year it's all at LACC then second year it's both LACC and CSULA. The ADN-BSN collaborative is self funded which means you pay out of pocket vs. RN-BSN is state funded, here is a link with more info ADN-BSN Collaborative Program - ADN-BSN vs. RN-BSN | California State University, Los Angeles. Here is a roadmap of how the semesters and schedule looks like http://www.lacitycollege.edu/academic/departments/nursing/docs/Roadmap-CollaborativeTrack.pdf .

I hope this helps :)

My first orientation is August 16 for the MOAB class

Hey ya'll!!!! Just got my acceptance letter yesterday! never got a call, which is hella weird, but I'm IN!!!!!! So sorry for those of you who are still hanging in suspense, I was a total stress ball up until I opened that letter. The not knowing really sucks. Hopefully you will know soon

Anyway, I'm excited to see future classmates already chatting it up on here. Nice to meet you :)
