Stars hope she picks her up today as planned

Hi Crunch

Tweety glad Slowbro is better

NJ22 that was a long walk

Quieter day yesterday.  Had church and then came home and did laundry and baking.  Took a longer than expected bike ride in the late afternoon as it was fairly cool.  Planned an event for the over 50 group later this month with another organizer

Today will do some bird watching in the morning, then will do the cooking for the week.  Otherwise should be a quiet day

Will be another cooler day here in the upper 70s

Good morning!

Happy Labor Day.

Hi Joe, have a good day.

I'm going to lay low as things around here get crowded.  Supposed to be "cooler" in that it's the upper 80s and not 90 and perhaps rain.  We've had a good rainy reason this year that was welcome after last year's drought.  I was reading a map of climate change and it stated the temps in Florida will minimally rise while up north it will be more significant.  Not sure why that is.  But coastal rising of course is an issue.

S'afternoon, almost 1 PM, and SiL has just left with Nannie after giving her a shower. Then she sent me a text saying that she was going to have to bring Nannie home today at 3:30 PM! That's in 2 + 1/2 hours from now! But. she said, she had a 'proposal'.....that she would come and get Nannie again tomorrow, for the afternoon. I sent a text back and said "Fine by me", I did want to say, "It figures!", because, you know....it DOES figure!! But I don't mind that she'll be taking her again tomorrow. She left Turkey Tettrazini (sp?) in the fridge for our supper, which is also fine by me....

But now I have to dash out to get some more dog food and I dunno what else, but it is written down in my notebook. Guess I ought to get dressed and do my little errand.

Ciao!

Happy Labor Day! After a rather warm day yesterday, it's not even up to 70 here. Overcast and humid. The month of August in the area, was the coolest one on record since 2011. While the rest of the country is sweltering, we are pulling on our hoodies.

I went for a short bike ride. The wind was stronger than I thought, so I didn't go as far. We are going to Tacoma on Tuesday to see Pink and will stay overnight, so I should pack. dd still has my lightweight carry-on roller bag, so I will have to use my old heavy one. I guess if I don't have to lift it into an overhead bin, it won't be bad.

Do any of y'all have any experience with B12 and anemia? An acquaintance has blood counts consistent with B12 deficiency, but B12, folate, and methylmalonic acid are normal. Doc still wants them to supplement with B12. I'm not looking for medical advice, I'm just trying to understand the labs and treatment.

Yup Nannie was delivered back here at 3:30----She dozed heavily for about 25 minutes, then she got into a head-scratching mode, I mean she was literally scratching her head, repeatedly. Stared out the window for a while, then closed her eyes again. But at least she is quiet. And at least she is being taken off again tomorrow.

It's been such a weird afternoon. Wonder if I will get to do the things I had planned to do today, tomorrow?

I hope there is something "good" (ie Nannie watchable) on TV....she is beginning to look a little cross. I'll go up and fix her supper plate too.

Glad Slowbro doesn't seem to be in pain but it sure is hard watching them get weaker and less able to do things they've always done. Hoping he's doing better.

Still cooler here (high 70s) and quite humid. No sailing was done over the weekend. I guess Hubs just still had a lot to do to have the boat ready. And he was working on a boat motor for some guy and had issues with that. It's OK. I was not feeling like doing much of anything. I don't know why... Anyway, we will go sailing sometime soon. In just 2 weeks we're supposed to be sending Gma to the nursing home for a week of respite care so we can deal with our expensive storage units.

Hubs was delighted to learn what the insurance company was willing to give him for the truck after Twin A's wreck. Especially since we only had PL&PD on the truck. If it had been Twin A's fault, we wouldn't have gotten anything.
