Get ahold of a Diagnostic and Laboratory Test Reference book(Mosby's). They should have one either at school or at your workplace. The book will tell you values and explaination of test and phisiology involved, as well as what conditions produce low or high values. Hope this helps. Good luck with your paper.

I tried typing these into www.google.com and found many sites that will explain these.

Good luck.

You can try http://www.webmd.com I love that site, and I have been able to find many things. If it can't help you now, it will in the future. Good Luck :) :)

SGOT = serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase

AST = aspartate aminotransferase

SGPT = serum glutamic-pyruvic transaminase

ALT = alanine aminotransferase

MCV = mean corpuscular volume

MCH = mean corpuscular hemoglobin

:) try spelling all of that out with a can of alphabet soup! I bet you will run out of letters :)
