La Roche University ELMSN Program (Pittsburgh)

Updated:   Published

Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone else has heard about/applied for this program?

Hi,

The program is new and not much information online regarding the passing rate/admission. I was told that the first cohort is set to graduate ending of fall. It is a hard program, as expected since it is accelerated but doable just have to find a study technique that works for you. Also, utilize all of the resources provided and practice answering nursing questions. My cohort had 48 students and I heard the previous cohort had the same amount. As for the application you should be able to find it on the schools website. I received my admission within a week but I think it just varies.

@kenNursethanks so much for your reply.  I’ve applied right after I left that comment. I am hoping to hear back something shortly. I’m supposed to be in contact with someone from admissions tomorrow.

Hi,

I got accepted into misericordia ABSN for Spring 2023. Application process was strangely easy. I can’t find any info or reviews about the program anywhere. The advisor I’ve been working with can’t give me any metrics about acceptance rate, graduation rate, NCLEX pass rate or connect me with anyone to speak about program outcome and experience. I am curious if anyone has heard or knows anything about it good or bad. It’s also over 60k! Yikes

Found out about Larouche Direct MSN entry today and have been trying to get more info about it and experiences from anywhere me attending or graduated.

Any info much appreciated!

Does anyone have any information in regards to the teaching staff. I am geared up for 1st semester this fall and just had a really odd interaction with one of the clinical faculty staff. Giving me cold feet, any stinky professors?

@RobertG, majority of the professors are really good, some are better as clinical instructors than they are at teaching.

I appreciate the info

@RobertG

Sorry (the person you're referring to) is giving you the cold shoulder. Here's my experience.

If you're referring to who I think you're referring to they needs to be fired. Absolutely garbage when it comes to reviewing student compliances for admissions. They will go out of their way to be completely unavailable and will play games when it comes to scheduling meetings for help. To sum it up, they immediately go on a 2-weeks’ vacation after an email was sent from enrollment was about how most students are still non-compliant. Talk about a cold shoulder. I’ve been trying to complete my compliances for MONTHS, the person would delay reviewing anything you submit, and if something was incomplete or incorrect, that person would provide a vague explanation on what you’re supposed to do.

From what I heard, most students are still NOT compliant and the deadline is in a few days.

Hi can anyone attending the La Roche ELMSN program please reach out to me. I’m weighing going there of an ABSN program. Thinking of a January start- Just applied and would really appreciate if anyone with some inside knowledge of the program would be willing to share. I will Venmo money for coffee for your time!

My email is [email protected]

many thanks!
