Does anyone who lives in the LA area have any job-hunting advice for a new nurse that's headed to the LA area?
Thanks in advance!

Nothing LA-specific for the job search, but I will say this: you'll want to make sure you either have a job in hand before you move, or that you have the financial resources to support yourself for a while out here and/or to move back home, if necessary. The job market in LA for new grads is pretty brutal right now.

Glendale Memorial New Grad Training begins on March 2, 2010
Thanks Coffee Nurse & Iperkrn!
I really appreciate the quick responses. I checked out Glendale's Website and I don't think they have their new grad job posting up yet. I will keep checking!

I applied to Glendale Memorial Hospital early this week and just checked their website-- it's still posted. They have ED, med/surg oncology, and telemetry. When you go to their career page, scroll down to "registered nurse-new grad"... its something along those lines. Good luck!
