Hello fellow nursing students! I am very very confused on wether I should go to LA INTER. I've read some negative reviews on how people did not pass the NCLEX after numerous times. I have sent my transcripts, and they lost them and I will send them again by June 15 and when that is done I will make my way to the school. I am deciding between the two schools and am lost. I do not have enough funds to live in puerto rico without a loan. Do they offer good loans and finical aid services? I am a receiver of the pell grant so that should warn that I do not make enough nor do my parents. I am 21 and am lost as to what is I should do. Feedback would be awesome because time is ticking!!! Thank you to all.

UMET, is the better program overall (they both have their pros and cons), however, if you're willing to do a lot of studying and self-teaching Inter may be a good option for you. It just depends on your learning style. This is the general consensus I've gotten from students in both programs-neither program is "bad". Financial aid is fairly decent, do you have your BS yet, because that can affect your award package.

i was really impressed with umet and their labs
as well as with the way that they are supportive towards the students. The director
of nursing gave me a tour and also set my schedule. hope this helps!
I think I am one of those students that likes to learn by teachers, no pun intended. But, I hear that their profs only speak spanish? have you decided which one you are going too? I am honestly petrified of lizards lol. Wish me luck! I just want to be prepared as a good nurse and be able to pass my NCLEX exams. I don't want to feel like I was left short. I do not have my BS, I was finishing up my pre-requirements for nursing but I hear these programs do not require it.
oh really? have you finished your degree? or are you going this August? gahhh, I just do not want to go to UMET and have it all be spanish because I don't speak a lick of it.

I did my ADN with UMET San Juan and my BSN with Interamericana in Arecibo and In my opinion UMET has a better program because it has more core science courses. I did past my nclex after my ADN in UMET but I did took a Great NCLEX RN course called the HURST Review. Pell grant will pay for around 95% of your Tuition cost in PR.
Interamericana Metro Campus has an English Course, and I recently saw an UMET offering an rn English program.
did you decide what school you're going to?

The Hurst review is the best. I took it after I finished nursing school at UMET. They came to PR and I passed on the first try.

Hello!
I was wondering if you ever moved to PR? I plan to attend InterAmerican this summer. I've been in contact with the D.O.N. through phone/emails. Most people I know have attended InterAmerican in San Piedras.. Which is why I'm choosing that school. I'm going to check out the school this May.
