LA county SON Spring 2015

Published

I know this is little early but I will be applying in July for Spring 2015... I'm finishing up Micro this semester and will have 86 points! Anyone else lurking that's going to apply to?? Say hi :)

Specializes in CVICU.
They keep changing the dates. I thought ----------------- said mid-November. :/

Maybe they're saying late nov so that way everyone will know and they have the 50 spots filled

------- told me that they're just finalizing their decisions and when they do they send out letters. :/

Good thing is if you get rejected, you can apply again and they give you an extra point. :)

Specializes in RETIRED Cath Lab/Cardiology/Radiology.

Sucks. When I took the TEAS on Oct 4, they said mid-Nov. The waiting is killing me. :sorry:

That's early considering that all the people on last years thread said they only hard late nov early december.

let's keep our fingers crossed that we hear either at the end of next week or the first week of november (which is when the cohort for last spring found out)

Maybe one of us can call again and see if they say something different?

Maybe if I have time in the morning I will call.. What exactly did u say?

Ahhh... But I'm scared righteousjenn. I feel as if the cut off will be sorta close to my points since you hae 86 and another person has 84. My 81 seems a little small.

You should be in the running. Honestly, i think 78 points and higher and you should be good. Like I said last semester I had like 78-80 points and I thought the same thing and I got in on the first try! ...and remember even with a higher cut score, applicants are applying to other nursing schools. So when those applicants chose another school, the cut score lowers to accept more students.

well I hate to say this but last semester, they said acceptance letters would be sent out May 15th and I didn't get my acceptance letter til' like the 2nd or 3rd week of June. With that being said, I don't see letters being sent out til at least the 2nd or 3rd week of December, just before the x-mas holiday or just after the New Year.

There's no way it's going to be that late!! Lol How are we going to get all the clearances and stuff done when class starts like jan 14th??
