Hello all :) I applied to a relief nurse 1 position with LA county. I then got a letter in the mail sayng my application had been accepted and i was scheduled for the "examination." I took the test, passed the test, and got another letter in the mail about two months after my test saying I had passed and that my name will be placed in an "eligibility list." What now? Does any one know what happens after this process? Thank you all so much! any info is appreciated. I did get a call from Harbor UCLA and filled out some paper work and got scheduled for an interview. But is this test for all LA county nurse jobs? What has your experience been like? I also heard something about a verbal exam/ interview? what is that?
I also just accepted a job offer for relief nurse. I did my live scan same day as the interview. Any Relief Nurses that can give me some insight? I was told that even though we don't have benefits the hours are still plenty... can anyone tell me about how many hours you guys do in a week? And how often do you float to other floors?? I'd really appreciate all your help?
I do realize this is a old thread, and I apologize if this question has been asked, but can anyone give me any advice on how to pass the WSA test? I take it Friday morning and it seems that I am having major trouble because I'm not doing very good on the practice test:-( I've been out of school for some time, and timed test scare me the most. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
I took the test in 2016. I was told by other employees that they will begin to call you to offer interviews before you receive notice in the mail. That's how it happened for me. Olive View called a few days after I took the test and then I received written verification that I had passed the test in the mail weeks later. This was years ago so I'm not quite sure if this is still applicable.
Good Luck
