Kwantlen Sept 2016 Post-Bacc Admission

Published

Hey Everyone!

I applied to the September 2016 intake for the post-bacc program at Kwantlen. So far all I know is that they have "received" my application.

Does anyone know if the ministry curriculum revisions for the 4-year program also apply to the 2-year post-bacc? I also have not been asked for any transcripts yet?

I completed a Kinesiology degree at UBC in 2015.

In case anyone has not signed up yet - there is tons of room in the First Aid + CPR-C with AED course in Richmond next Wednesday and Thursday (25th and 26th).

I think it is a bit under-registered so it would be awesome to get a few more people in it so it isn't cancelled :)

Spread the word if you know someone looking for a course!

Hey did everyone get everything in yet?!!

Just waiting for the Ministry of Justice to send over my CRC...they are really backed up even though I sent it over the day I got my letter.

Kwantlen knows this though and are being patient/flexible :)

I've also sent in my CRC.. still have to send in my First Aid & CPR C. Has anyone tried to register for the courses, the letter says we must by June 6th but I cannot access Fall 2016 yet?

Just finished my CPR course today, so I should have everything sent in now. Not sure if my criminal record check has gone through yet, but I also sent it a day or two after I found out I was accepted.

Hi guys,

I got an offer for the program! Should we start a FB page so we can help each other? in terms of courses, text books, materials and moral support!? Thanks!

Yeah that would be great! I just tried to make a page but I apparantly need one other email/name to begin. Maybe someone more tech savvy will figure it out :p

I tried to setup a closed group but I need to find friends by email lol and I doubt anyone wants to publicly reveal their personal email. I guess we can just use this forum to keep connected and when we meet each other then we can start a group.

What kind of Ipad is everyone getting? 16 g? or 64 g? I kinda want the mini but if we need to do a lot of reading then the bigger one would probably be better.

I think I've decided on the ipad air 64gb. Is everyone else registering for courses on Monday? I'm assuming we just register for the courses that are on the program's website?

I will be registering for the courses that are on the website tomorrow. I believe it was mentioned on the stuff that was sent in the mail. But, then again I feel like there's only minimum info provided lol. Does anyone know where to meet on the first day of the residency?

Hey all! Just a heads up if you haven't registered yet make sure you add all of the courses to the worksheet using the CRN codes otherwise the system will not allow you to register for any of the classes due to prereq/coreq failure (which was kind of frustrating to figure out).

The schedule for the first two weeks on campus is also posted when you register you can look at either your timetable or the actual course information page to see where we are supposed to be and when. Day 1 as of now is south building room 1804 at 8am, I think if they change the location it will be posted in the course guide or on your student service page.

Also has anyone done their immunizations yet? Does anyone know which page they need signed and on record for the immunizations and TB test?
