Kuwait MOH

Published

Hi,

I am new to this site and I found it very informative. This would be my first post. I would just like to know if anybody on this board wrote the Kuwait MOH exam last March 18 in PICC? I believe there were 3 agencies who facilitated the exam and interview. In my case I passed the exam and was interviewed by the Kuwait MOH delegates last March 24 at Diamond Hotel- Manila. The agency called me up informing me that I passed the interview and wait for further instructions for the next step. I would just like to hear how many of us are awaiting for possible deployment to Kuwait and any update as to your case will be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks.

@piorf: hi i am just wondering if you have read my post here...i am just new to this site and just wanna ask some information regarding application to kuwait...i've been posting my questions here but dinx seems busy and can't answer my question so if you won't mind and has answers to those question i have asked here ...can you give me some information that would help me to finalize my decision on applying to kuwait...thank you

MOH will hire, regardless of the area, as long as you have a 3-year exp 6mos prior to their hiring date.

there is a chance that your salary will be reduce or increase. some had like 30-70kd increase while others had their salary deducted by 10-140kd.

if you apply for MOH, they(best-one) will definitely hire you for MOH.

you should visit your agency because they are the ones who can clarify/answer all your questions. and be sure to apply as soon as possible.

@piorf: thank you for answering my queries at least i have details about what to expect on applying for moh base on your experience. thank you... i'm still completing my requirements good thing moh exam is postponed still have time hope to passed the exam to and get there.

@ celine: Don't be confused about private and government hospitals hiring for Kuwait. The agency will inform you if the hiring is for government or private hospital. The only common among them is that the exam will be conducted by MOH since it is already the licensure exam as they require it for all government and private hospitals and as such the MOH is the regulating body. If the agency says it's for government or private hospital, then it is what it is. Subcons here are just mere facilitators once you will be here in Kuwait and it does not mean that they are your employer in relation with the Ministry of Health recruitment. I'm not sure though for private hospitals. These subcons were paid by the MOH to facilitate or help you with the processing of your papers once you are already here. Otherwise, the MOH will be the one to pay you, give accommodation, transport, food, uniform etc, or in short you are directly their employee and the MOH is your employer, not the subcons.

The bare truth about the salary here is this: basic-550KD (3 years experience), that is you will not have a night duty, as a new recruit. Once you will be part of the night shift then it is the only time that they will add 100KD as your allowance/night differential. It depends on your assigned hospital when will they give you night shift, some after 3 months, 6 months and others 9 months and also depending on your performance/evaluation. So the sooner you get a night shift , the better because 100KD will be added to your salary. For any additional years of experience over 3 years, 10KD will be added (Ex: for 4 years, 10KD additional and so on). Post Grad units also will have additional KD (dont know the exact figure). Some hospitals also have some perks like 50KD if you're assigned in Al Sabah, also 50KD more if you're assigned in a special area considered as class A (ICU, ER, HDU...etc).

About the exam and interview, I will not advise you to focus on any certain area as the questions comes in many different scenario. you might regret what you're focusing does not come out at all. So just read, study and be confident. you already did it on the local board and other exams,so be confident that you can as well make it this time.

additional info:to those who have MAN or MSN, please be wary that including your post grad diplomas(in you CV) has its pros and cons.pros: Usually the hospital will hire you as part of either Quality Assurance or Staff Development Unit. This means that you won't be as busy as other staffs who were assigned in the floors, ER, OR etc.. You will only have morning duty which only last for 7hours. You will also get additional salary for the post grad diploma.cons: No night duty means 100kd will be deducted from your salary. You will also miss the chance of getting 50kd which is given to those who are assigned in special areas like OR/ER/ICU.. I also find it boring since most of your time will be use for paper works/ lectures and the likes.in my opinion, it is better not to include your post grad diploma in your CV. A senior(ER staff) of mine has just been transferred to SDU and his salary was cut by 30-50kd. goodluck

thanks a lot for the info regarding post grad diplomas

hi everyone: can anyone here give me some piece of advice about applying for kuwait. i've been hearing negative comments about bestone agency and the nearest agency on my location is bestone.

to those whose are already in kuwait working and their agency is bestone, what can you say about the performance of bestone in sending you to kuwait? are they reliable enough?

to those who are still here and waiting for their chance to work in kuwait and your agency is bestone, what can you say about bestone performance?

Guys try to read this, just saw this in facebook early today. This is not to discourage you but to make all of you aware of what is happening there in Kuwait. The man in the picture wearing red cap is a friend/hostel mate of mine. This is the problemm when we work under an agency. And btw, our agency there in Kuwait is Al-Essa company.

Hello there..i just want to ask because i applied from best one agency also under al essa company..i signed the letter of intent last sept 13,2011 and it will expire on march 13 yet our visa is not yet coming?is it possible that we can arrive to kuwait beyond march 13??thankyou

im still here in phils.i applied also in best one agency..however its almost 5 months already but were not hearing anything from our agent..i did pass the exam and interview last september 2011..

and i was frightened by the time frame i read from previous blogs that it will reach 6-9 and even 1 year of waiting?how about the signed letter of intent that it will be invalid after 6 months..thankyou...

@graceys - i am a former employee of al-essa company, now im working here as an MOH nurse. if you have not been reading any articles about this company, please start now.

i used to work in a private hospital here in kuwait and resigned after my 2-yr contract from al-essa. we were around 50applicants in 2008 who made it and now only 2 are planning to stay in our previous hospital.

be wary, read. do you know why it takes a long time for al essa to send their applicants? it is because they have pending lawsuits from Philippine emBassy kuwait. a lot of applicants complained about this company which lead them to change their general manager(previous was nasser mugharib or something like that). please browse, search and read the internet before applying in al essa company. good day
