Kuwait MOH

Published

Hi,

I am new to this site and I found it very informative. This would be my first post. I would just like to know if anybody on this board wrote the Kuwait MOH exam last March 18 in PICC? I believe there were 3 agencies who facilitated the exam and interview. In my case I passed the exam and was interviewed by the Kuwait MOH delegates last March 24 at Diamond Hotel- Manila. The agency called me up informing me that I passed the interview and wait for further instructions for the next step. I would just like to hear how many of us are awaiting for possible deployment to Kuwait and any update as to your case will be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks.

@Piorf: Can we use credit cards (MastrerCard and American Express-BDO) in buying grocery items in Kuwait?

@Piorf: Are foreign currency exchangers (US dollar to Kuwaiti Dinnar) easily available in the airport (Kuwait or Philippines) or somewhere in Kuwait?

Thanks

We are just allowed for maximum of 10k in every currency to avoid money laundering, right?

Ahm, it's better if you'll exchange your ph money in the bank in ph rather than at the airport.

do they consider volunteer experience or strictly staff/paid experience only?

MOH will only consider paid nursing experience preferably in a hospital. But if you can ask your current hospital to credit your volunteer experience as regular/paid time then perhaps it can add up to your current number of years experience. Just be sure that if somebody calls your hospital they will give the information as stated in your certificate of employment.

That's the problem with most applicants since many are into volunteering. But if a nurse has been into a volunteer position for quite some time and obviously been working as what regular staff do, then it's quite unfair not to count those period. I am not really suggesting to tamper your COE with "ghost" nursing experience. Any moment you'll be caught and might be banned.

dinx -yes you can use credit cards and yes you can exchange your dollars(to KD) in the airport.

theysee - you are right, so bring dollar rather than peso bills.

fzaq - the board of nursing only allow paid exp. if you are planning on applying in MOH then you'll have to have at least 3years of exp. if you have been training in a hospital, you can ask your headnurse to give you a COE and attach her(Headnurse) phone number. tell her, if someone from kuwait asks(which NEVER happens) her about you, to simply tell that you have already worked in that hospital.

be sure, that your skills are as good or better than the years of exp that your HN have indicated in your COE. the difference between hired and trainee nurses is that hired nurses are paid while trainee nurses are the ones who pay. if you send both nurses here in kuwait, they will both undergo training which is different from the practices that we have in PH. as to my experience, sometimes, newly hired nurses(in Kuwait) are better(theoretically and actual) than their seniors. nurses here dont insert IFCs nor NGTs. for new nurses, don't feel inferior and be assertive but be sure to be respectful.

That's good...to the rescue credit cards if cash runs out!

hi!

congrats again dinx!

i applied at ADM, hopefully they will consider my application.

please tell me what are the coverage of the exam and what are the questions they will ask for the interview? and would the exam we will take here will be the licensure exam in kuwait like saudi council in KSA and HAAD in UAE? or theres another exam in kuwait?

please answer my query, anyone?

thank you thank you.

hi lexin.net

just review all your reviewers.the questions from moh are anything under the sun.meaning it could be anywhere from ob to ms or etc..in interviews they will focus on area you are assigned..if you passed the moh exam and interview in philippines, once you get here in kuwait they will provide with medical license just like prc id.

thanks for the info stama..

i pray that i will pass the exam then the interview then the medical.hehehe!

@Piorf or to any MOH nurses already in Kuwait: How was the arrangement for food there? I've heard that Male nurses do have free food just for 21 days. I'm curious, after the first 21 days is food not free anymore until the entire 2 years contract or food is free again once Male nurses are working in hospitals already?

Thanks
