Ok, so I've kind of looked around the site, but I can't find what I'm looking for. I applied to the KSU accelerated nursing program for the Spring of 2012. Our applications, TEAS score, etc. already had to be turned in by May 31st. I was curious to know about how long they take to get back to you to let you know if you made it to the second round. I've got a 3.2 GPA right now, and I graduate from UGA in December with a BS in Psychology. I made a 91.3% overall score on the TEAS V. Does anyone have any idea about my chances of getting in? I took the TEAS without even taking A&P at all, but I'm taking it right now. Any advice if I do make it to the second round? I am CPR/First Aid certified and I have my CNA. Also, if anybody needs any advice about the TEAS, I'd be happy to answer some questions and tell you what I thought of it.
Thanks!
OMG, I pull up to my apt and the mail guy is slowly sorting out everyone's mail. I had to sit in my car for 20 mins before I could check my mailbox. I was jumping up and down that I got in! The only thing I am wondering about is for people who applied to both the accelerated and traditional program. I got into the traditional, however I already graduated from KSU with a biology degree and qualified for accelerated. If someone from accelerated drops out, do the people who got into traditional get bumped into the accelerated program? I would still be just as happy to be in the traditional, but getting finished early does sound nice for my work schedule. :anpom:
@Fanger....unfortunately you can't technically take someone's spot in the accelerated program because both programs have a waitlist, so they would get first dibs. However, I have heard that if you were in the accelerated program and something came up where you had to take less classes per semester, that was possible. I've never heard of someone moving up from traditional to accelerated. I know someone that is only taking one nursing class per semester because of a personal situation.
Thanks StarLite1980! I am just nervous about having a full Summer semester off. I did not think there was a wait list for accelerated. I thought maybe if someone dropped accelerated then they would move someone from traditional up that has a BSN already, and therefore open up on wait list for the traditional program.
yayyyy congrats we did it!!!!!!!!!! i cannot wait to see you all in the spring! :) :) :) I live in marietta and just got my letter TODAY!!!!!!! :) :) so they set the facebook group up for us? also..for traditional program we have to register for those classes stated on letter for the spring semester right?
