my classes start august 23 and there still is no information posted about textbooks!
i was hoping i could get at least one to start reading before the craziness begins....
i feel like i'm wasting valuable study time!
at this point i am a little overzealous, though... *sigh*

Hello... Theresa again, fellow Crouse SN... I started NURS110 last year, and I just got my book list for 120 the other day. We need the same ones we had for 1st semester (along with some new ones), which were Fundamentals of Nursing by Taylor, Lillis, and LeMone and Medical-Surgical Nursing: Critical Thinking for Collaborative Care, by Ignatavicius & Workman (aka the Iggy book!) You'll also need Calculate with Confidence, by D.G. Morris- that's one I would certainly start checking out because they will give you a pretest to see how much you know of pretty basic things like Roman Numerals and conversions, etc... I think we got our book list at Orientation, that should be coming up pretty soon for you shouldn't it? I have gotten one of my additional books on my list already, through half.com and started to pick it up and read the first weeks assignment, and thought better of it and put it down for a couple more weeks :) I'm not ready to get into learning mode yet! hahahaha Good luck and really, if you want any info I would be more than happy to help you out. Enjoy the rest of your summer! Theresa

Have you tried going to your school's bookstore website? All the books I need for my Fundamentals and Pharmacology class were listed there.

Is this your first semester of nursing school? If so, trust me on this....I know you are very excited (I was too!)...but take the rest of this summer to relax, cuz its gonna be the last truly relaxing time you'll have in a little while . Trust me, you wont get behind :)

I totally agree with Luvbug. You will get so caught up in school that you'll wish you had spent time relaxing over the summer.
Good Luck!
