Mandi, I notice that you are 18 years old. When I was your age I skipped my periods for months at a time. I knew I wasn't pregnant because I never had sex.

My opinion is that it is probably no big deal. Your body is still changing.

If you are seriously concerned, you should see a doctor.

I had this happen twice, but i also had a lot of very stressful stuff happenning that made my cycle out of whack. Went to the doctor both times though anyway to be sure, because you never know. I recommend a trip to the doctor, just to be sure.:)

Probably just stress, but it happened to me and it was something more. I have a pituitary adenoma, (prolactinoma). I have problems with lactating, and some months I do not have my regular cycle. The medication I was put on helped to lower my prolactin level, and my cycle returned to normal. Some women go to the doctor thinking they are pregnant because of missed periods, but have sometimes found that it could be a medical problem. Not trying to scare you, like I said, if you are a nursing student, you are probably just stressed out. Some of the girls in my class are having two periods/ month due to stress, but just thought I would tell you my story since you were asking.

Hmm Stuff like that has happend to me too. I guess its not too much to worry about , i've had my period since i was about 10 yrs old, and every now and then i get it only every other month... weird(im not pregnant either or anything, because from what i know lol i've never had sex).. i still got the pms/cramps/back pains and stuff though like you say you do. Other than that it wasnt so bad. I would like to disown "aunt flow" but as nosey relatives usually do, she always comes back

Actually its almost like i have 2 a month, i start getting "period symptoms" 2-3 wks before my period, and then on through my period so ugh Im not comfortable until its completley over, then i have maybe 2 weeks of peace, then im in pain again ugh. Im just going to get my breast, lower back, and uterus removed. See no more pain then!

I know that I'm not pregnant for that exact reason. I have a fear of getting pregnant. I am still learning how to take care of myself financially, and I I like having time to myself. I'm just turning 19, and I like my offdays to revolving around partying, and even after i get off shift. There is still so many thing I want to do, and places that I want to see. I'm not ready for motherhood. I have my kitty cat, and I want to keep that as my level responsablity for now.

I am glad to hear that its not a big deal, and that other women went through this too. I've had my periods late or early before but I have never completely missed one. I think it might just be stress or something.

Lmao If I had them parts removed then I wouldnt know what to think. No pain! And no surprises on the day that I decide to wear my white scrubs, and no more pulling a tampon out of my pocket mistaking it for a pen! Thats always embarasing.

I know that I'm not pregnant for that exact reason. I have a fear of getting pregnant. I am still learning how to take care of myself financially, and I I like having time to myself. I'm just turning 19, and I like my offdays to revolving around partying, and even after i get off shift. There is still so many thing I want to do, and places that I want to see. I'm not ready for motherhood. I have my kitty cat, and I want to keep that as my level responsablity for now.

OMG i wish a lot of people i knew were as afraid of getting pregnant as u are!! There are so many pregnant girls in my school its not even funny! there are 4 in my 3rd hour alone (well 3 now, one gave birth 2 months ago.. )

Its so disturbing, i wish people would be more responsible, many of these mothers are not.. what i would call mother material.. so really feel bad for the kids.

LOL!!! A pen?!! i did that once trying to fish for a pen in my purse. Needless to say the person sitting across from me had a look of utter confusion/horror.
