Kids & School

Published

I am starting school full time in August and I have a 2 yr old little girl & a 8 mt old little boy. How do you other mommas out there manage to go to school full time & keep up with the kids & still keep that close personal relationship with them. I am a stay at home mom so its going to be really hard when I start school. I have never been away from my son and it has been a little over a year since I have been away from my daughter.

Oh, just for laughs.... yesterday my daughter was in rare form. I layed her down for a nap, well she did not take a nap. Instead she took her diaper off, peed in the floor in 2 different spots & popped in the floor right by the door. Ewww.... Then later when I was laying my son down for his 2nd nap of he day (which took about 30 seconds, he puts himself to sleep, he is wonderful) she grabed the laundry detg. off the dryer and started pouring it down the hallway & into my bedroom. Oh, what a day!!! It was a little of this :banghead: and a little of this :nono: but I could not help but do this :chuckle. Needless to say I was this by the end of the day .

hey girl hey!!! i am a stay at home mother of a 3 year old lil boy named tristan! and i will be starting school full time hopefully in aug as well........i agree its going to be really hard he is going to be going to preschool mon wed and fri til 1130 though so thats going to help alot but the other days tues and thurs i dunno exactly what i am going to do my mamaw and mom will help alot and my husband will do all that he can do ......this is the reason i have not went to school yet and have only gotten to take online classes since last summer!! i could done been in the program but 2 classes a semester is putting me at a slow pace!!! good luck

It is ok for the house to dirty sometimes. I have to do a load of clothes once a day b/c I can't take a whole day to do noting but clothes. I cook lots of casseroles and use my crock pot faithfully. Take the kids to a grandparent or a friends house around test time, you will thank yourself later. Study for a while and take a break you start to not pay attention to what you are reading or it run together. Try not to overload and ask for help if you need it. I have have to stay at school and study on the days that I have free time, if I go home I will do everything but study like I need to. My daughter is 16 months and me and her dad both go school work full time jobs and believe it is hard but doable if you really want it.

As you can tell from my screen name, I am also the mother of two boys. Yes I'll say it again TWO BOYS. That translates to alot of running around and cleanup. Having a family is a very important part of my life. They mean the world to me and I would be lost without them. I was going to nursing school whne I had my first. It is difficult but can be done. Just remember, that life is about experiences and experiences wouldn't happen without family. Good Luck- Believe in yourself and dont forget that -YOU CAN DO IT.
