You will have to apply to NNAS first. If you get their approval then you can apply to the college of nurses in the province you want to work in.

NNAS, sponsorship immigration through your husband is the most important thing you need to do ASAP. Gather school and nursing licensure documents in Kenya before you go to Canada because it will be near impossible to do it when you are in Canada.
NNAS and Ontario (CNO) process can take more than 1 year. If you have all the documents, English proficiency exam scores, etc, it may take sooner.
Also, after NNAS evaluates your documents, you need at least a working visa to further progress through the licensure process in Ontario. (it is mandatory there). You can get a work visa if you live in Canada and your husband sponsors your immigration in Canada. (you can't get the visa if you do the immigration processing in Kenya). The visa will help you go through CNO and also get a job in Canada before you get your PR (which may take up to 1 year or more)
Consult an immigration service/lawyer if your husband is unfamiliar with any immigration documents because any mistakes and missed documentations will slow everything down big time.

Start the process with the NNAS as soon as you can from Kenya would be my advice as it will be easier to get all documents while you are there. I learnt the hard way as did it after I moved to Canada. NNAS process took about a year for me as a result. Ensure that the envelopes that are sent to them have a company logo or company stamp on the envelope as the NNAS consider the envelope to be a document also...again a lesson learned as it is not explicitly stated on there handbook available online.
NNAS fee is available online. You will have to do academic IELTS or CELBAN to prove English proficiency unless you can submit competency in English via your employer. They will have to show that in the areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking. NCLEX exam is about $350 and IENCAP a similar cost. I did not have to sit this as my education was deemed equivalent (eventually). You will have to pay for Jurisprudence exam and a police check through mybackcheck.com
It is a process and can be very time consuming. I have been going through the process for 5.5years and just arranging NCLEX and then hopefully I will have my registration.
Best of luck but start the ball rolling now.
I already did the NNAS, I now have to take IENCAP, What study materials can I use?
thanks
No, I didn't do it. I was able to meet the educational requirement. I did think I would have to do it, so I did a physical assessment on line course through George Brown College in Toronto and also went to a study day with HealthForce Ontario. There is an agency whom I found helpful eventhough I didn't join them as I had many things arranged at that stage care4nurses.org. Had I been earlier in the process I would have found them helpful.

Hi
Can you tell me which courses you did that help you to met the Nursing Education requirement for RN Application? I have 6 competency gaps. Your help will be appreciated ?
Thank you!
Hi there,
I did 2 courses in George Brown College
https://coned.georgebrown.ca/courses-and-certificates/subject/nursing-for-internationally-educated-nurses-distance-education/
The 2 that I did were Nursing in Ontario & Health Assessment. Have a look at your competency gaps and then have a look at the courses in the link to see if you could meet them without having to do IENCAP. A friend of mine failed the OSCE by 0.04 and had to do courses to close the gap...very frustrating
Best of luck
Hello,
how do you know which courses to take? Or the college gives you courses through the competency gaps.thanks
Competency gaps identified by the CNO and thought I would have to do IENCAP so thought a physical assessment course would be beneficial for that. Didn't end up doing the IENCAP but found the physical assessment course very interesting and useful.
